What's happened to Richard Gasquet?

When Gasquet and Rafa were juniors, most tennis pundits predicted Gasquet would have the superior career by far. He was highly touted as a kid.

Given that he lost he obviously wasn't inspired enough (Murray never lost a match at 2018 Washington remember).

If he's suffering from injuries why the heck is he entering tournaments? He surely can't still need the money can he??
I didn't mean to say that Murray lost.
The way he fought through his struggles, was scintillating though.
I was in tears as well, after the victory over copil. After all, I've been following the guy from 2006 (not a huge fan though)

I have no idea if he is playing while injured. When I said he was injured, I didn’t mean he was injured during his match against Ymer. I was answering the OP’s question, my mistake for not clarifying.

It's okay, I was just asking a rhetorical question that's all. Nothing to do with what you said.

He's coming back from the knee injury from December-January. Last year was groin surgery. Not much match practice etc.

He's old by tennis player standards would probably have something to do with it. Never been the fittest, fightingest player on the tour anyway, so know in his mid 30s is even less likely to be a factor. Maybe his hair was the source of his magic because that's vanishing almost as alarmingly as Dimitrov's.
