When did the Head Prestige lose its' heritage?

That would certainly do it for me too.
I thought it was the Liquidmetal model, or maybe the Graphene versions where the Prestige lost its' soul...?

When Head began adding odd marketing-driven, questionable “technology” to its original, honest, solid, no-frills, uncompromised tennis instrument, it lost the tune. I would suggest this began with the iPrestige series (the last “consumer” model produced in Austria, if I recall correctly), and worsened with the subsequent Liquidmetal and Flexpoint and other gimmicky models.

Have you played with TGT312.1? The feel and the precision of the racquet is not that bad. But of course, it would be better to add this model to Prestige lineup rather then deleting Mid from Head tennis catalogue.

What do you mean with "pure Prestige"? For me it's Prestige Pro/Mid/600/Classic. So with iPrestige line it's no more "pure Prestige".

Me too. Reminds me of Dunlop racquets which were not my cup of tea. But I don't find them THAT bad. I've heard Marin Cilic plays with them right now (he used to play with prostock Microgel Radical MP 16x19 – aka TGT231.3).

LM Prestige Mid isn't bad at all – however I prefer IG Mid.
I really like Liquidmetal Radical MidPlus, so I assume I could like LM Prestige MidPlus too – but I never had a chance to play with it. Simply missed that one.
Can anyone compare it to PT630/Radical Tour/Microgel/YT/IG MidPlus retail stock?

I completely understand how the feel is completely lost on the newer Prestige Mid, Pro & MP. But if you can let the feel pass, they all play pretty awesome. For instance, the Graphene XT Prestige MP was one of the most predictable frame I’ve hit with. It offers zero free power, but its accuracy was so pin-point that it gave me the confidence to swing harder and go after the balls more. I love everything about the classic Prestige Pro/TXP Pro. I love everything, except the feel, about the newer Prestige frames.

Me too! I have 4-5 of them just in case Graphene line is only the beginning of something even worse
But it was all about the feel, man.

I wish I did this! I recently strung an old MG mid with a hybrid and was amazed how nice it played. Unlike my Wilson 90's (which can kill me defensively), I'm 100% competitive with it too, that suprised me. The MP would be a perfect main frame although I can't be bothered with the hassle of finding used ones on the auction site
I don't know what Head were smoking with the graphene's. Still a low power frame so not going to attract Bab players but lost the classic feel Prestige players loved. They have plenty of other frames in the range for those who want modern feel (speed, extreme, instinct etc).
