Where's Baghdatis?

idk if anyone else besides me even watches Marcos Baghdatis anymore, but it seems that he's dropped off the tour entirely (searched for most recent matches, and after early May nothing shows up) and I can't seem to find any info on why. He was ranked high enough to try and qualify for the french but he did not. Can't find any injury info so what gives?

and so that this thread doesn't get stale fast, anybody got any favorite Baggy (my nickname for him) moments?

Yes, his most recent challenger was a win against Dudi Sela followed by a loss against Yunseong Chung. But that was over a month ago and he'd been playing regularly up to that point.

He retired from a match a few weeks before the Busan Challenger matches due to a right wrist injury. Perhaps he made it worse in the three matches he completed after that.

The guy who was main challenger of Federer until Rafa (outside clay) and Djokovic emerged has no takers today?

He said in an interview two months ago that he was working hard to be ready for his beloved grass. But he has not participated anywhere. Maybe, he struggles with injuries. In the interview, he also mentioned his desire to quit tennis after the olympics and concentrate on tennis academies in Cyprus.

I just dont understand how he never was fit to play enough.
Especially with his game style and height.. Wheres Stefanki when you need him?

I guess Marcos should really be held accountable.. but then again If i made a slam final early on like that i might lose motivation as well...

Why's he getting a WC into Wimbledon? He made semis in 2006 - 13 years ago, and doesn't seem to have played for 6 weeks. I hope he is playing Eastbourne otherwise there's a good chance he'll be a walking bye. Disclaimer: I'm not doubting what Marcos has achieved in his career, but I do question this WC decision.
