Player A
In his peak for 3/4 seasons his level was 9.5 out of 10. But after it his level was between 6 and 7 for 7 seasons.
Or

Player B
In his peak for 3/4 seasons he was 8.5 but after his level is 7.5 for 7 seasons ?

Say both win close to the same ? Yes player A peak was higher but Player B was at a higher level for more of his career ?
This isn’t based on any actual players just wondering what people think.

Depends on the calculations for the hypothetical number of slam titles as a proxy for level of play. Something like estimating for each high level run how likely it would be to bring a title against top competition within a certain range. Probably ends up with something like a logarithmic or exponential scale linked to level of play. I guess "7,5" is relatively unlikely to win in a proper competitive environment i.e. when there's a prime ATG present, so Player A wins.

Player C who peaks on 1 surface every year and is injured when he loses is better than Player A or Player B.

Because Player C has played both A and B at their peaks and has beaten them both on their favourite surfaces.

Hence Player C despite being a 1 trick 1 dimensional pony is better than A and B according to a few experts
