Surprisingly, every other rivalry was overshadowed by Fedovic in the last two years when it looked destined that Djokodal will dominate for a long time.
With Djokodal currently standing at 46 and Fedovic at 44, which one will break the unprecedented 50 mark first?
Now that both rivalries are tied, go on and also predict will Djokovic lead both next year or not.

Djockerdal will perhaps have made it after clay season. Fedovic at the end of the year maybe.

Obviously djoboto will lead both at the end of the year. Unless peak selective only-show-up-when-I-win dal makes a comeback.

It is quite amazing, Djokovic has the top two epic rivalries as far as matches are concerned, and not only are they against two of the greatest icons the sport has ever seen, he is dead even with both!

I think both will go above 50 matches, but I also think Djokovic will take the lead in both by the end of the year and won't ever relenquish it again.

The reason for him playing them so many times is because he is the most consistent player, the reason why is so successful against them is because of his versatile and complete playing style.

Does this also say something about the state and conditions of contemporary tennis though? Or are they just that consistent?

Well, Nadal fans say that he improves according to level that he shown in exo matches just month after being trashed in WTF SF and he will be able to to reach to play more matches against Novak not only on clay , so I assume it will be Djokodal. Needless to say , I'm looking forward to it.

Hmm but they are not beating world no 1 when it matters. As I said in other thread it's high time guys like murray Nishikori stop Roger let alone the world no 1. Same goes for Rafa if he doesn't improve
At least they beat him sometimes. Youngsters are not doing it even when it doesn't matter. :D
Rafa on clay could be very dangerous next year.

Yes, peak opposition is long gone in the past now, so consistency is enough to win. :(

Let me ask you guys a question. What will be year end ranking in 2016? And please no delusional Federer at no 1.

I guess people are so busy with predicting Novak results they forgot two all time greats are going to get worse

Exactly. We have seen fed coming with as good form as possible in wimby uso finals to lose in 4 sets so unless we want to cling to Cincinnati as 5th major the results are not going to change

You do know the "5th major" thing is an inside TTW joke right? Just look at this thread.

http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/index.php?threads/cincinnati-the-real-slam.282818/

In fact, anybody that doesn't know the origins of where that joke came from should look at this. The poster sureshs (a Nadal fan) made the thread in 2009 after Federer had won RG and Wimbledon, but did not have to beat either of Nadal, Djokovic, or Murray to win either of those tournaments. He then contended that Cincinnati was "The Real Slam" since the 4 SF'ists were Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, and Murray. Federer of course went on to win that tournament so sureshs got trolled pretty hard and the thread and the joke took off from there.

Another thing worth a mention is that Federer only had 2 Cincinnati titles before sureshs made that thread. He's since won 5 Cincy titles in 7 years.

Another 52 weeks at #1 spot for Djokovic maybe?
Doesn't seem like mission impossible to me, since you don't need a season as good as this one to be the best.

LOL I was just stating cincy will be his best chance. This is hilarious though

I think Andy and Rafa will battle for number 2 spot. If youngsters don't step up seriously, the top 10 will hardly change.

They will. Surely. Actually very surely. How much I don't know but they will. Rafa I hope does battle for no.2. Meaning he stays injury free for whole year even when he plays well.
