The guy should retire now. His slam results lately are rather pathetic. If he doesn't, he should at least get a bigger racquet.

Winning the French Open-Wimbledon double wasn't good enough. He should have won all four without losing a single set!

You're kidding, right? He made it to the finals in all four Slams this year and won two of them. He's made the finals of 17 of the last 18 Slams and won 11.

I assume you were being facetious?

Man, everyone's standards for Federer are so much higher than anyone else who plays tennis that he loses one Slam final and he's done. Do you guys actually know how ridiculous that is?

He's shanking and shanking, and his results are simply awful lately. He's losing matches too frequently and quite frankly with his poor year I thought he'd already have been retired by now. If he gets a bigger racquet and gets an easy draw he just might have another Basel title in him though.

With the help of the crowd, bigger racquet, injured opponents, he might just be able to steal a set.

I don't know. Maybe BIG BUBBA would help him win one set. His forehand is about as powerful as 5 year olds now. lol

He got lucky in the FO because he faced a bunch of chokers + a Soderling who can't handle a little backspin.
At Wimbledon he got lucky that Roddick doesn't have a backhand.
At USO, Djokovic was exhausted from getting pounded in the ass after pictures of his catwalk emerged, so he couldn't put up a fight. Match point - he didn't even move for the ball.
At AO, he beat a comatose Del Potro, almost got crushed by Berdych, and got beat by Nadal right after Nadal played an 8 hour marathon SF.

Fed is a useless hasbeen. It will be better for everybody if he retires already and stop ridiculing himself with his pathetic Slam results.:-?

I hope he retires tomorrow.

If you factor in Nadal's injuries, Federer hasn't won a single Slam this year. He lost the only time he faced Nadal in the final. And when he faced a hard hitter like Del Potro, it was clear he was not upto the mark.

Oh great, another "IF NADAL HADN'T BEEN INJURED..." argument. It's totally irrelevant. He wasn't there, Fed won. Deal.

Roger is still young and can pursue his career for many years ..

he's fit , talented and ambitious and will , for sure , win many more grandslams ...

I personally think he will win more than 8 wimbledon titles , at least five AO , 3 FO and 7 US open ones ...

and maybe a D. CUP and an olympic gold medal

Given his crappy results this year and overall his sucky career I really think it's time for him to call it quits.

Fed is the only player in the history of tennis who gets criticized for winning only 2 slams in a year,it's quite amazing.

Actually I take that back, Federer will NEVER retire. He will live on in our hearts and minds. You know how some people don't want to believe Elvis, Michael Jackson, Tupac, and Anna Nicole Smith died. People don't want to believe Federer will retire.

yeah well Michael Jackson isn´t dead anywayz, so what are you talkin about?

Federer Predictions For Career Totals:

8 Australian Opens
5 French Opens
11 Wimbledons
10 US Opens

Slam Count: 34

Anything less and he's a stubborn product of a weak era who wasn't even the best of his own era and he needs to switch to a bigger racquet and hire a coach.
