Hi guys! So I just got a Wilson Pro Staff 90 and I want to restring it with Diadem Solstice Power 15L. How low can I go to still get enough control and power but not make it too stiff? anyone have or use this racquet and string it low with a poly?

What are your other frames and what is in them now? The gauge you cited is what I would call moderately stiff 190-240 lbs/in. Stiff is anything north of 240 lbs/in, but a lot depends on what you are use to. My initial guess is 40-44# ref tension. This is subject to change because I do not know what you have in your other frames.

Also, what is in the racquet right now is MSV focus hex 19g at 52 lbs. and the string is about to break and I hit with it a little and that string feels low powered

Well, in my Prince Beast Pro 100 LB racquet, I have the Diadem Solstice 15L at 52 lbs. and I like that. All of the other racquets that I use it in are big oversized racquets like the one in my sig.

That's what I was looking for. My initial trial suggestion stays at 44# ref tension. If you feel adventurous, you could trial it at 46#, but I suspect it may be too stiff.

Ok, yeah I definitely wanted to start low just wasn't sure how low. I will string it up tomorrow and let you know how it feels.

I still play with the k90 and my go-to tension on pretty much every setup is 22kg mains / 20.5kg crosses. On 16g polys I'll drop each by 1 kg. Plays just great. Then again I don't play with stiff polys whenever I use it (I mainly stick with gut or syn. gut in the mains, but occasionally will try poly mains). Stiffest I've tried is Tourna Silver 7 in the mains and that was 21kg.

I should clarify that I have the 2014 red and white version of the Pro staff if that makes a difference

Going from 19g to 15L is going to make it swing heavier . Why such a drastic change?
I would suggest ~1.25 gauge string...15L might be too thick and end up feeling too stiff in the smaller 90 sq in frame
The reason why I am using the 15L string is because that is the only string that I have and I really like it. I don't mind going super low down in tention but my intent from this post was to see if others had also strung super low with this racket or if anyone had input on where I should start
