Wilson Ultra v4 (Standard) VS Ezone 100 2022

Hey, Talk Tennis Comrades!

Simple question because I didn't find estabilished answers on other threads and sites.

I know that Ezone 100 has more control and comfort, but I already have a comfortable control racquet (Pro Staff X), so which one have more power and spin: Ultra V4 (Standard) or Ezone 100 2022?

Unfortunately there isn't demo of racquets where I live, so I m counting on your words

I ve tested a friend's Ezone 98, while it had more power than my Pro Staff X, the launch angle was lower which I didn't so much cause I am short (5'8"). But I have no idea how Ezone 100 behaves

I play with the Ezone 100, and although I haven’t played with the Ultra 100 V4, I would believe they play very similar with regards to power and spin.

Both have similar thick beams, stiffness, string pattern and balance. I think if any difference it will be very minor.

All the typical 300 gram racquets “power racquets “ , Ezone 100, Pure Drive, FX 500, Ultra 100 V4 are very similar.

was playing with the latest Ezone 100 for a good few months last year and had to give it up because I started to feel some discomfort in my forearm. I have to mention I do workout regularly (3x/week) in a gym and I don´t really have a sensitive hand...even Pure Aeros are not a problem for me, only a Pure Drive with stiff poly and high tension is my cryptonite I switched then to the lates Aero 2023, 100 head (the Alcaraz PJ, not the Rafa one...) and had a great time with it. Now I got the Ultra V4 in my hand and just WOW! I was expecting a ton of power but WOW...seems to me even more than the Aero, for sure more than the Ezone but what´s important is the comfort of this racquet. I bought it almost brand new with Alu Power at 24 kg in it and it felt great. Was afraid that the control would suck but on the contrary. I was able to stay in the court easily, got nice spin as well even though I hit more flat than topspin, FH dialed immediately, serve too and my OHBH is a crappy part of my game in general so no problem there as well

Also had the Ezone 98 in my hands and that is a different racquet to the 100s. Different feel, different balance and weight distribution...I didn´t like it that much. Maybe because it´s an advanced frame to me - I would consider myself as 3,5-4,0 player, amateur, 40 years, lots of sports from my childhood.

Ezone 100 has a denser pattern than the Ultra and you can feel it. The added spin is much more easier achievable with the Ultra. Although everyone is pleasing Yonex frames and Ezone particularly, I would go for the Ultra easily.

If you start to lean ultra which I agree is more powerful and spin than ezone. Maybe consider these which are in the same category. Diadem nova is a sleeper.
