And the “same conditions” logic goes out the window when a match starts wihout the roof?

Like i said, it would make sense on one day. But when a match is going to resume on another day, then the roof should be decided by the weather.
Heck, the roof today was only closed because it had gotten too late and the light was dimming. Not because it was pouring outside.

Yes, and they respect that 'rule' when it happens the other way round, right? That's why they suspend all the matches that have already started if it starts raining midmatch...

Pretty sick of them catering to Federer even when he gets knocked out.

First the AO 2018 debacle. You had Cilic practicing outdoors and Fed practicing indoors. Clear conspiracy there - they only told one man. And that stupid "Wet Bulb Temperature" Test.

Then, on top of that, you now have the roof closed again, even tomorrow, and Nadal practiced outdoors while Djokovic played marbles under a roof during Isner Anderson.

It's pretty obvious they want Federer to keep the slam record. Laver also shamelessly rooting for Djoker today because he knows Fed is the brains behind the Laver Cup. Djokovic also playing the Laver Cup this year so him winning Wimbledon makes for an even hotter ticket.

Just corruption at all levels.

Apart of me agrees with you. I can't trust that imp Rod Laver. He really believes that he is the know it all of tennis.

When Nole was dominating all of them Laver did not like Djokovic. Now he hates Nadal cause he is edging close to Fe.

It is all about elitism and Anglo Saxonism.

They don't want that olive skinned Spaninard winning the slams and they detest the Sebian slavic.

I am all ears to hear the truth.

They could have put up lights without actually attaching them to the roof, trying to preserve the outdoor nature of the tournament, but none of those posh halfwits thought about it.

So by that logic if a match starts with the roof open they shouldn't be able to close it and play due to darkness or rain........ I mean it is about ending the match in the same conditions it began right????

IF POSSIBLE, they will finish the match under the same conditions. Obviously if it's raining they can't wait until the rain stops before resuming play when they have a roof there to be used.

That’s not even logistically possible. Federer fans WAY outnumber Nadal fans in here. Just look at any poll results or likes on Fed-favouring comments. Deep down you know it aint true

I only ever see the leader of the VB in Federer threads even though she swears his tennis bores her to death.

Don't think I've ever actually seen her post in a Nadal match thread. But even Mickey Mouse tournament Fed threads she is there.

An interesting paradox.

There was no secret on what was going to happen here

Once the roof is closed the roof is closed. Lest you spend all match fighting on when to reopen it or not in less than ideal conditions. No one was shocked by this. Ned fans are just mad because Ned is one of the worst indoor players compared to his outdoor level of all time.

Well I do not condone that type of trolling, but harmless trolling sure. I thought Nadal fans trolling the Anderson loss was funny for the most part.

But there will be push back should Nadal lose too. That's just the way the cookie crumbles on this message board.

You won't find me hoping Rafa gets injured or calling him a Roidster though.

It's a lot more than 3-4 btw, you'd be surprised.

So you expect them not to use their multi-million dollar roof ever again when it rains, and waste a whole day's play just because Bull was disadvantaged (arguable, since he should have been 2-1 up) by a fair rule that one time. :rolleyes:
