2019 was lower than 2023.What Wimbledon final had the most views? Gonna guess it’s 2008 or 2019.
So the empire will strike back?A New Hope
'Play' is a real generous term to describe what was offered on the other side of the net from Djokovic in the 2022 Wimbledon men's final. So you're telling me people don't actually queue up to watch Nick play?
In the UK I assume it's 2013 as 17.3 million people tuned in to watch it that year. What Wimbledon final had the most views? Gonna guess it’s 2008 or 2019.
Ah yeah, forgot that. 2012 and 2013 will probably be the highest in the UK. MurrayMania. In the UK I assume it's 2013 as 17.3 million people tuned in to watch it that year.
Outside the UK I believe the numbers were quite a bit lower though, so I don't know the worldwide numbers.
So the empire will strike back?
He’s great, but he’s no Will Ospreay. @Poisoned SliceAlcaraz is going to be a big star. The tennis world had been overhyping so many young talents in hopes of finding another Federer, another Nadal. But their hopes would get shattered as none would live up to expectations of the fans. Then comes along this young lad from Spain, and at just 20 he's the world #1 who dethroned Djokovic at Wimbledon. The hopes and dreams of many tennis fans are with him now.
''Dave needs to share whatever he's smoking.'' I'm now reading how Moxley is better than Austin.
Considerably more than the 2019 final is kind of proof that the returns of the big three are diminishing and tennis fans are craving new blood.
The force has already awakened. It is time for the Rise of Alcaraz. So the empire will strike back?

Wimbledon 2019 was less because no one likes watching funerals, they are depressing. Coronations are more exciting.
Worth noting that the 2019 Final was on at exactly the same time as the Cricket World Cup Final. I recognise this is not a sport that is well known or popular in most other countries, but it would have certainly taken up a fair bit of attention here in the UK (particularly since England was involved and ended up winning).
I had no idea, that makes sense.
I guess "Lame Horse" wasn't quite the box office attraction that we've been told he was.So you're telling me people don't actually queue up to watch Nick play?

Federer was one of those viewers.I know quite a few people who tuned in hoping for alcaraz to take out djokovic. Even non regular tennis fans said his antics turned them off, found him insufferable.
Sunday's Carlos Alcaraz-Novak Djokovic Wimbledon men's final averaged a 1.7 rating and 3.20 million viewers on ESPN, trailing only Djokovic-Roger Federer in 2019 (3.83M) as the most-watched Wimbledon singles final in more than a decade — since Federer-Andy Murray in 2012 (3.93M).Does anyone know where to find the ratings for Wimbledon Finals for ESPN in America?
Not at all surprising. Everyone knew NK had zero chance of winning that match. I didn't watch it.Alcaraz-Djokovic peak: 11.3m
Djokovic-Kyrgios peak: 7.5m
What it tell?

Not really an upset if you know that it’s possible.2022 Wimbledon final was a known conclusion before the match started. This year, everyone knew an upset was not only possible but likely.
