With his loss to Hewitt in the Brisbane final, Federer is now 3-7 in his last 10 tournament finals. His previous worst 10 tournament finals stretch was 4-6.

Obviously, this seems terrible, but in reality he has equaled the worst stretches of his two biggest rivals who also went 3-7 in tournament finals during a 10 tournament final stretch.

Nadal - After winning Tokyo in 2010, Nadal lost 3 finals, won 2, lost 2, won 1, lost 2. He went onto lose 2 more finals to go 3-9.

Djokovic - After winning Rome in 2008, Novak lost 3 finals, won 2, lost 3, won 1, lost 1. He went onto lose 1 more final to go 3-8.

For Federer it's understandable since he's 32, unlike Nadal in 2010 who was in his prime.
