Don't mess this up Venus
Sorry Michael. But whilst we now accept Venus has more bad days than good, she generally looks great/stylish. Not today. A very odd look for her. And sadly, another sub par performance.Queen playing in 2 hours

6-3, 4-6, 6-3 for Peterson.
Sorry, bro.
Watching some Chinese lady (Peng) with a 2 handed forehand and 2 handed backhand. Haven't seen that in a while. Is that more common than I'm aware of???
Love, love, LOVE Hsieh. Far more entertaining than the majority of 'see ball, thump ball' brigade. You haven't seen Peng Shuai play before? She made the semis of the USO in 2014. Also her doubles partner Hsieh(who's pretty popular around here) plays with 2 hands on both sides.
Any idea if Heather played well or if this was a wild match from Wang Qiang? She beat Barty at the US Open and now she's had a dreadful Asian swing especially when you compare it to her performance last autumn when she really announced herself to the tennis world as the next credible Chinese hope. Now it's down to Wang Yafan here in Tianjin.Nice to see Watson doing well.
But, long time between first and second round matches!
Peng Shuai has been around since the early/mid 2000s on tour. I think 2011 was her most solid year for singles and 2014 was when she made the US Open semis before cramping hard against Wozniacki and being taken off court. She's also won a bunch of titles including a couple of GSs in doubles so she's a very nifty player and extremely dangerous when on form.Watching some Chinese lady (Peng) with a 2 handed forehand and 2 handed backhand. I'd sat Watson was more solid and stepped up when important.Any idea if Heather played well or if this was a wild match from Wang Qiang? OK WTA fans, how do you check WTA scores?
Appreciate the response, but I think it's crazy to have to download an app just to see scores.ATP/WTA app.
Tianjin has been a disastrous tournaments. Finals are played in practice court.
Oh dear, really? I did see there was a rain delay earlier.ATP/WTA app.

If it's a particular match I'm interested in, I type their name into Google and it has a live scores app at the top of the results which is handy.Appreciate the response, but I think it's crazy to have to download an app just to see scores.
You're right though, this is probably the best bet.
In fact, up until somewhat recently, if you clicked "Scores" on the WTA site on mobile it would direct you to the app store to download a third party app, not even a WTA scores app.
Love WTA but the website has been a dumpster since I started following.

Oh yeah, I never check scores on ATP or WTA website. The app is best for a full list of scores and results for that day. Sometimes I use Tennis dot com live scores but they can be funny with time zones sometimes like showing matches listed that will be played tomorrow and not today etc.Yep me too. But in this specific situation I didn't really know what tournaments were going on/who was playing, just knew it was QF/SF time, so I foolishly went to the WTA website !
