Spelling words of incredible length is really not an exercise in futility, it's just long--and easy, but long, for instance, pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis.
 
Osis is a suffix as is itis; in medical terminology it is helpful to know that words ending with itis denote an inflammatory process, such as hepatitis, colitis or gastritis.

Electric streetcars in New Orleans were my primary mode of transportation from my school in the afternoon to my evening ballet classes, and nothing beats that relaxing ride.
This evokes very atmospheric imagery out of a film scene or painting. I have never been to New Orleans, but have many associations through films, music, and culinary lore. It's surprising how many films have been set in New Orleans.

Nothing beats that relaxing ride of a large boat on water. I really enjoy taking boats between Denmark, Sweden and Finland. The ferry to Alcatraz is very relaxing.
