Your lead tape placement

Where do you put it and how much?

4g @ 3
4g @ 9
3g @ 12
3g handle
5g overgrip

I like my racquets a little less HL than most; but haven't ruled out adding another 3g near the butt to maintain the original balance.

Currently at around 11.9 oz/336g total.

Heaviest leather grip I can find and 3 grams at 3,9 & 12 ~ 365 grams.

I suggest at 10 and 2... But it depends on the racket. Little is enough IMO. I even use 0.5grams sometimes.

I've got two different setups. One for my IG Prestige and one for my Youtek Prestige.
The IG has:
2 grams @ 12
2 grams @ 10
2 grams @ 2
A Gamma leather grip
6 grams of blu-tac under the trapdoor (or as much needed to compensate for differences in grips)

The Youtek:
2 grams @ 12
2 grams @ 9
2 grams @ 3
A Gamma leather grip
A couple grams of blue-tac under the trapdoor.

This makes my racquets 360 grams strung and with a overgrip. The swingweight of the Youtek is still slightly higher though...

My Wilson PS95's have this:

2 grams @ 12
2 grams @ 10
2 grams @ 2

1 of my two racquets has 3 grams @10&2 to get it to match the others total weight and balance.

Thats a lot. Sure you have the right racket. .

Yup. The seller put them on an RDC machine and they came back as Swingweight 386. The grommets are translucent so you can see the multiple layers of tape. I bought them on a public forum and there was a set of about 15 of them for sale. They were made for a Dutch Pro by Head but they made the wrong model of frame so they were put up for sale.

Ok cool. And it play all right ? 386sw is way too high for me but i like heavy rackets.. very heavy, but sw not higher than 320.

It took quite some time to get used to.

I started with the K Pro Staff 88 (345) and then went to the YT Prestige MP around 362. I bought the IG Prestige MPs but couldn't really swing it effectively but eventually switched to it and got used to it.

It plays great once your body gets used to it. Tons of power and super stable and great for arm protection.

My best advice for anyone adding lead tape is to weigh the lead you want to add before you add it. If you cut a few lead strips thinking that you're adding 5 grams, you may not be actually adding 5 grams. Inconsistencies with the manufacturing of the lead tape can lead to variances in mass. Your 5 gram strip might end up being 4 or 6 grams. It can mess with your swingweight calculations.
