Honestly, Thiem should be the biggest favorite this year. But he isn't, because the young players have no idea how to beat Djokovic in a slam.

As for Nadal, he is done. If he meets Thiem he doesn't even win a set.

But Thiem has bamboozled Djokovic in 2019. That too in a marathon 5 sets. Do you believe Thiem is a matchup problem for Djokovic on clay having immense firepower and swift defense on both wings?

Thiem should own Djokovic on clay right now. But mentally he is not always there. That RG 2019 semifinal should have been a routine 4 set win.

Either bow out before QF or push Nadal to 4 sets if it's the SF or F

If Nadal's reached the F he just ain't gonna lose, wouldn't even be surprised if it's a 3 set encounter tbh no one manages to gain the upper hand vs Rafa even if he's pushed in previous encounters

Solving the Thiem puzzle at the French Open for Rafa has been like doing calculus equations, isn't it? Just so excruciatingly tough.

They've played at RG 4 times and the Austrian has managed to win a total of one set!!
Nadal gets older every year though. Right now he struggles in long matches.

Be overhyped and proclaimed a saviour by Federer fanatics yet again.
When the hell has any Fed fan ever proclaimed this choker as a "savior?" What a joke. Almost every Fed fan has proclaimed Thiem garbage competition and a choker since 2014. It's the Nadal fans who viciously hype him to try and make his competition seem "fierce."

“Garbage competition”
He takes your boy to the cleaners everyday of the week, twice on Sunday, and then pistol whips him.

It really depends on health but even still I have tight 4 set loss.

Thing with Nadal only being taken to 5 sets at the French twice is because he really goes for the throat after losing 1 set. The Isner match aside, Nadal feels out the opponent whoever it might be in the first two sets. He will usually win one of those sets and go ham afterwards. I think at this point he just knows all the nooks and crannies so well his physical deterioration isn't so much a handicap as we all thought.

The only guy who can beat him is Novak completely on point or if Rafa is seriously injured.

And yeah, his 2015 loss is a joke to me. The only person to really beat him ever was Robin Soderling pound for pound. And even then, Nadal withdrew from Wimbledon due to "tendonitis in both knees" so yeah.

Djokovic keeps getting bagelled on clay by Nadal. Thiem a bit better as he makes it to breadsticks

He's tied for second third and fourth favorite on clay. Depends on how Stan and Djokovic is doing lately.
