hey i thought it would be interesting to see what your ranked in your state/province.

Im just nearing the top 100 in Ontario (which is the equivalent to 4 provinces in the states size wise, maybe skill wise?) in U16, and U18.

we probably have some really high ranked players here, so show yourselves :D

OO right
i typed my name
and im 8.1

thats your rating if you have played any lta santioned tournaments then you will have points and a ranking.

i think you have got your rating wrong anyway, because you would have known you rating before. are you a member of the lta?

I'm in college now, but I had some success in the juniors. I got to #1 in SC U18, #3 Southern section U18, #36 National U18.

IIRC you are about 5.5 serveitup911? This is where I am confused... you were #3 Southern Section for 18s and then:

"my good friend here in sarasota florida sekou bangoura jr he is 15 and a 5.5 top 5 in state and top in the nation."

Oh sorry, that was from another person in another thread. But I don't get how a 15 year old ranked #3 in his state could be the same "standard" as you...

I am a pretty humble person, so I might be underestimating or that guy might be overestimating. There can be large gaps among players with the same NTRP rating also.

How'd you get to play 16 supers dubs if you weren't qualified through singles?

i dont play singles tournaments cause i know i wouldnt get far after champs. my friend is in supers, and he wants me to play with him

we're not a bad team though, seeing as how we got to the quarters of a scmz and beat the number 2 doubles team in a community college haha... i dont think thats saying much but its all i got

i guess, i never really had any expirience with the old system (something with champs and challengers?), but i definitley think it should be scaled or something like that. Because right now if you beat a top 10 player its the exact same as if you had beaten a player who had never won a match.

yeah, on the old ranking system i went from unranked to 54th because i beat the number 2 seed. it mattered who you beat, not when and how many times you beat them. The new system is based on the number of victories and doesn't give enough credit for consolation matches, im ranked about 60 places below players that i've beaten straight sets.

the new ranking system is just encouraging people to play more tournaments.......so if u dont play many tournaments ur not goin to be ranked high.....and they do give you bonus points for beating highly ranked people

I'm not ranked that high. But I've only been playing tennis for about 2.5 years. I'm ranked like 65th of of 250 in Indiana, and 400 something out of 700 some in the *******.

In the really low teens (B14) Southwest- aging up APRIL so working on (B16)
@ 100 now and looking forward to first year HS tennis.
Year round tennis is IT!... I sort of feel bad for all you stuck shoveling for excercise.

I don't have a ranking, I'm 18 and im only a 4.0, but if you wanna hit next time you're in the cape, talk to me. I've played against a few juniors, including Chris Leveroni and did pretty well.

I just started playing tennis last year. This year I played usta boys 14 and was 12th in my state but now Ive dropped down to 24th since we havent play a whole lot this fall and winter. Record was 20-9 in 10 tournaments and made it to the semis or better in 8 out of 10 tournaments. 1 Tournament win 2 seconds and a third. I also won 2 local non usta tournaments
