Fed Called out for Cheating?!.

If anything, I am just glad Fed was cheating his way to the AO17 Championship beating Nadal. It beings a very special ring to the word KARMA.

Maybe Fed installed a bionic knee joint as part of the knee surgery. I think Fed did wear down Nadal in the AO17 final. He might have known this all along since Fed could have gone for another set or two.

Knee surgeries worked magically for others resulting in many Slams. I think Fed just took the game to a whole new level.

Pat Cash:
"You can't just stop a marathon if you're tired... I can't stress how bad this (tournament) has been supervised or looked at by the medical team here in the whole tour," Cash told BBC’s Radio 5 Live in the aftermath of Federer's 6-4 3-6 6-1 3-6 6-3 victory over Nadal. "It's wrong, wrong and wrong... It's cheating and it's being allowed. It's legal cheating but it's still not right," added Cash.

What ridiculous nonsense! There is no such thing as "legal cheating". Cheating by definition implies something ILLEGAL! If it's legal (as in within the rules) it ain't cheating. You can complain about the rules and suggest that the rules be changed, but you can't complain about a player playing within them just because you personally don't like the outcome. Nadal breaks the rules in every match that he plays. He literally cheats before EVERY POINT by going over the legal time limit. And very rarely is that ever even enforced. If Nadal can break the rules and delay play during a marathon before every point in order to recover, why can't Federer do that within the rules once in a match? Why the hypocrisy?

I can't believe some of you guys are actually arguing with octomom after I dismantled her previous post. Jeez, don't bother wasting (more) time.

Let her take it all out from her chest. I think helping her cause is the least we can do. In the process adding some salt is highly recommended.

Fed's MTOs will remain in the history of tennis, no matter how hard you are arguing here.

So you agree that he had an injury. Thanks for playing. Now you can go back to your cave.
Yes, I agree he had an injury. Just like we all know Nadal played half of his career injured and Novak played half of 2016 injured.

Your last comment clearly shows that you are biased and immature RF fan unable to use own brain to support an argument.

I'm done with you

"It is not cheating (arguable at best). It is merely breaking the rules"

If Fed is going to be called for these rare MTO's (taken at the changeover and not at some random point in the set before the opponent is due to serve), then other players who habitually take MTO's should be penalized or suspended.

Love the arguments from the RF Fans that throughout his career he's had the least amount of the MTO, therefore, leave him alone.
First of all, we all know (and some of us admit) that RF is amazing and to compete at this level at his age is simply...unique.
However, to have two extensive MTO right after the opponent has tied 2:2 in the match...and then come back like nothing happened?
Reminds me of his terrible WTF injury and burgundy sweater speech, then playing a 100% less than a week later in the DC...

Weird, considering he went down a break right away.

I can only shake my head about Octomom's silly hatred-garbage still being allowed to be posted over here...

It's on my ignore list - as it should be on any decent posters' over here right now - but I am still able to see the replies, very unfortunately so. My eyes are bleeding.

People who have happened to read this site have shaken their heads about 'silly hatred-garbage' that has come from Rafa haters.

Sure. Did they happen to have duley contacted their psychiatrists, too? They may have run out of their meds...

Oops. Sorry folks. It's on the Ignore List from now on, something obviously went wrong here.

I am laughing loud at the Vamos a la playa Brigade members' efforts to put Federer's and Nadal's MTOs in one sentence.

The closest they will get to that is when someone writes about and laughs at their intention.

They do this on a regular basis in the hope that Nadal will bask in the glory of Federer's image and career.

Hilarious, considering how much effort they put in separating Nadal's image, popularity and presumed non-conformist approach to that of Federer.

Yep, Fed's MTOs should be highlighted somehow.

Federer is becoming a bit desperate lately. Two MTOs back to back in two very important matches in a Major where he ended up winning. Mere coincidence? I liked him better when he was playing more fair and wouldn't go for drop shots, because he thought it was a cheap shot (lol) and now we have to put up with this cheap SABR approach of his. I guess he is too worried about his legacy and wants to protect it at any cost. Would he be able to survive if one of Nadal or Djokovic goes on and breaks his record while he is still alive and breathing? What about his fandom? Now they will be in real trouble. lol

Fed did what Nadal and Djoko has been secretly waging against players for years.

Other than fed fans, no one wanted to call it "cheating". Now that Fed smartened up and understood the value of MTO, here comes the "cheating" experts.

I am so glad to have witnessed Fed take it to Djokodal and his fans. This leveled up the "cheating" field, nicely.

You missed to imply sarcasm.

Otherwise it was a good effort.

Fed admitted to taking the MTO just because "Stan took it". No need to read his mind. It was strategic. Can't call it cheating because it's Federer, and Swiss people are incapable of cheating.

he needed to take one regardless. Stan taking it made it a little more even in his eyes.

Everybody knows that players take strategic MTOs and to mask their real intentions go down a break in the deciding set.

Poor Nadalito.

Right, Salty?

It did help him in the end, didn't it, dummy? No worries. As I said, Federer is incapable of cheating. Swiss people never cheated anyone out of their hard earned money or gold. Most honest country on the face of the Earth.

Mastermind Federer creates ways that are beyond reasonable explanation, so let's just resort to BertieB's level of explanations, eh Salty?

And now it is Switzerland.

Soon it will be the entire UN (minus Spain and USA).

The payoff for taking a strategic MTO is most likely to happen later in the 5th set, dummy. You are illogically deriving an effect based on an outcome without being able to compare the potential outcome in the alternate scenario.

If Fed hadn't taken the MTO he would have one down a double break. Is that preferable to a single break, dummy?

I don't even know why I'm talking to you. No IQ to back up your big mouth, Jazz_Hands. Now, why don't you go pick on Mustard to pump yourself up and leave me alone.

Single instead of double break.

With your crystal ball you are now deep into the expertise field of BertieB.

I also don't know why, but it seems that you have enough reasons to display your unwillingness to speak as of now, Salty.

I can only imagine why that is.

As for Mustard, he has been owned after 2 years of knee-jerk reactions and "expert" predictions on his part.

Just like it is happening to you right now, when you realize that your raison d'être in the form and with the pretext you have chosen here has been removed.

The funny part is that you thought that is has begun just a short time ago, when it was going on for a loong long time.

There goes the dummy with the grandiose speeches which amount to wet gas.

Clueless as ever as well. What this AO proved was your colossal bias. If Nadal had done what Federer just did, you would have claimed to the skies about the MTO's and the miraculous healing.

Wouldn't you, Jazzy_Hands?

You've been pwned by your own stupidity. Keep learning, dummo.
