Have you tried the Pure Aero VS racquets. They might be what you are looking for. They use the Aerostorm molds.

I dont know about the new P17, but my original pure strike has a foam filled handle. Wish there were more!
My only criticism for Babolat right now is their lineup, its a hotchpotch of different racquets all with the same names in weird families. Why the pure control got absorbed into the "strikes", and the returning aerostorm rebadged with the "pure aero" i dont know. They would be better defined by themselves in their own line, since they are practically the same racquet with different throats, and nothing like the other racquets in their respective lines. Im guessing theres a reason why they werent, but....???
But in praise of Babolat, they still HAVE the the pure control and the remade aerostorm, fantastic racquets! I only wish the PJ's were more conventional and not so "out there"!

I still think it's just marketing; various sponsored pros can now continue to use their beloved Pure Controls and Aerostorms under the obfuscating cloak of current familial paint jobs and the vast majority of spectators are none the wiser - but we know better.

Do you know which grommet part numbers would fit a 2003 or 2006 (guessing on the year) Babolat Pure Drive Team 16x19 100 sq inch/300 gram gram?
I have some 2009 PD grommets (Part# 90096) and some APD grommets (Part #900021). Either you or the previous Babolat Rep on this forum mentioned #90021 would work on the 2009 & 2012 Pure Drives models, and that they used these personally for college players using PDs.
Part #900021 has the solid bummer guard vs the long holes in the bumper guard of part #900096 (which breaks much more easily due to the multiple one inch holes). Thankfully, Babolat got rid of the one inch holes in the 2015 Bumper Guards.
Would either part number 900021 or 900096 work for the PD Team in the photos below? Thank you

Either of those parts will fit that frame, and I personally would go with the 900021 since it has the solid bumper.

Here is a picture of the 900021 grommets installed. Took 45 mins due to 10 mins of getting the old ones out. ☹️ Her grip was dry rotted, but it will look much cleaner with Red Origin 16g in her.
I hate seeing people throw away frames due to lack of TLC , never replacing grommets or replacement grips, so I overhaul them after convincing players to donate them to me. [emoji2]
All they need are strings, grips and grommets then give them to local pro who teaches many kids with low income parents. Without the generous heart of this pro named Peggy, many of these kids would never swing a frame. Many of these kids can't pay so she teaches for free. We all give back in our on way.

@Nostradamus at this time, we are planning on launching the first Pulse compatible racquet in May of next year. Pulse will not accentuate any of the racquet characteristics but more-so give the player feedback on their game, similar to Babolat Play and POP.

Hello @Babolat Official I haven't used any of my pure drive play racquets for a few months due to injury, yesterday I hit the court and I find out now there is a new version for the babolat play app, and the web dashboard isn't available, also none of my stats/info/games from about two years are available on the new app, is this normal, and is there a way to recover/retrieve the old stats?

i have the problem with the speed data shown. First serve seems to be ok but second serve high is only half of the average. And Groundstrokes sometimes like topspin forehand maximum 2 km/h!!! That is impossible for sure. And in every session the exact racket which was used is not shown, there is always racket not available.

Unfortunately, there are no plans to bring back RPM Dual. I know some people really liked it, and appreciated the extra durability, but it never really resonated with people. I for one didn't like stringing it because I couldn't tell if the strings were straight!

To the best of my knowledge, yes. I haven't had any of my customers mention it since we redesigned it, and I just spoke to our warranty department, and they have not had anyone return any. I believe he or I would have heard if people were still having issues, and the little bit I've used hasn't fallen off either.

I wish the Pure Drive Tour was a reverse cosmetic of the standard Pure Drive. I hate that they're the same cosmetic. I hate that other players think I'm just using the 300gm PD rather than the 315gm PD Tour. I wish the upcoming PD Tour was a matte black with Babolat's traditional blue used only as accent/trim. The Pure Drive Tour deserves a stand-alone cosmetic, not the same-same as the regular Pure Drive.

What string combos have you found to really bring out the VS Tour's potential? I am probably going to go with the VS Tour after playing with the 16x19 for about a month, trying different strings, and finally throwing in the towel. Tried the VS Tour again to compare it to the 16x19 and should have gone for the VST the first time.
