It's not a PT57 (from what I've been told about flexpoints)...but I recently hit with a Flexpoint Mid Prestige. I have been stringing this for a couple years that belongs to a friend. It swings nice and fast. I'm intrigued to try a Prestige Mid...and maybe get one of my own. My friend hits with a bunch of pace and spin. Carry on.

I found 4 that are very close in weight/balance/SW and had them extended 0.25” and matched with custom Wilson pallets. 343 grams/31 cm/350 SW. Cyclone 18 @ 44#. They feel great and the serve is killer with them!

Reading you fans of the pt57 made me want one, and here it is :
I bought an i.prestige extralong for 30€. I am super happy. Now, I have something to ask :
I would like to know the PRECISE length difference between the normal i.prestige mp and the extralong, in order to shorten the hairpin myself to go from the extralong to a normal lenght. I know that the difference is said to be 0,5 inch, but we all know that it can be different in reality.
If someone has ever measured the hairpin of a normal pt57, can he share that information?
(Measuring the racquet with the buttcap and pallets will not help me, thanks)
BTW, here is what I've found under the pallets :
-Bar code H22057E1NX
-Molded on the low part of the hairpin T57E

Hello all,
I need some advice regarding the PT57A's which I have been testing for a couple of months now.
My main stick is the Head Radical Tour "Candy Cane" or PT57B. The Radical Tour has helped me solve arm issues, and has a nice flexy feel that I have enjoyed. I have used it in stock form with the exception of adding CAP grommets weighing in at 12.6 oz (358g). No lead tape. It's been great so I thought I would try the PT57A! I bought two frames brand new.
For me, the PT57A feels stiff compared to my Radical Tour. And for the first time since switching, I have been experiencing bicep pain in both arms after use. This is completely strange because I've never had this problem with any stick I've ever used! However, this is my first time experimenting with tungsten tape with high swing weight. I have found some success with wearing compression sleeves over my arms when I play and don't feel much pain.
Specs of my PT57A: 12.6 oz (358g), 7 pts HL, 10g of tungsten tape from 10 to 2 at the top of the frame, CAP, Silicone in handle, leather grip, using Wilson Synthetic Gut Power for string at 52 lbs (23.5 kg).
Another problem that I am having is that the frame just "sounds ugly" and "pingy" when it comes off of the string bed. I have heard so much about the great sound and feel that the PT57A is supposed to produce! Could this be altered with different tape placement? With silicone in the handle, if tape is not placed at the top of the frame, my PT57A's are extremely head light. I do not enjoy frames more head light than 9 pts.
After hearing so many good things about the PT57A and it being the same mould as the radical tour, I have been hoping for a better experience. Any advice would be great!

Are you using the same string in the 57A as the Candycane? String type makes a huge difference in the sound it makes. I use gut mains and poly crosses in my Candycane and when I hit the ball 'just right' it sounds like a cannon

I have only tried Wilson Synthetic Gut Power, and hybrid Natural Gut/ALU Power Rough on my 57A's. I've strung my 57A's up about 6 times now. The only time it had a pleasant sound and great ball pocketing was the first time I strung it up, and that was with the Wilson Synthetic Gut. I'm not so sure it's my type of string. Since that first time, I can't seem to replicate it. Maybe I'm bad at stringing, or tape placement makes all the difference?Are you using the same string in the 57A as the Candycane? I can't say they are as mint as @Alex78 but I had to share the expanding stack. I've been crushing with the xl zebra lately.
I know the Ti isn't much loved but I dare say they are better than graphene or Higgs Boson after I capped them. The paint on them brings fond memories of my Ti.Radical from my senior year.

Found a "Liquidmetal" on my local bay for 15€...
I was so excited to see the codes on the hairpin that I destroyed the pallets while driving back home. (Not my size, anyway).
So happy
PS : though this pro-stock paintjob is kind of rare, I am going to black it out.

Which leather grip? Is it tacky for good grip? Looks great

It's a technifibre leather grip that I've found on a second hand racquet. "Tacky" is a confusing word for me. WordReference gave me some translations : If you meant "sticky", it's not. If you meant "in bad condition", it's not. If you meant "old school", well yes, it looks like an old dunlop leather grip. But surprisingly it's the thinnest grip i've ever seen. Weights 22g. In comparison, I've weighted a head leather grip at 27g.
I like very small overlapping with my leathers, in order to feel the channels under the OG.
BTW, forgot to say that I've putted TK82S pallets. The more square-shaped wilson like ones.

If it has 3 crossings mains-crosses on the lower pattern side, it is not a PT57, afaik.

I need some string & tension suggestions for PT57A. My goal is to achieve the nice sound that this frame is capable of. If you know what I am referring to, please tell me what string & tension you use so I can try it out myself. All that I am getting is pinging sounds rather than that sweet "Pock" sound. Thanks! Also, I am using a Gamma ELS Progression II stringer.

Interesting, where were those made? My Ti.Classic and Ti.Pro Tour are embossed as TK57-B, the same code as the zebra and candy cane. I think they preceded your model slightly but were made in China.

It says, Made in Austria. Have no idea if this is the real case. Obviously a spin-off of PT630.

The style of imprint looks like my Austrian frames if that means anything. The early Chinese frames I have look more crude and are not recessed in a circle.

My 2 Zebras are embossed as TK 57A-5 (not TK57-B), and one of my Bumblebees has TK57-1 and the other TK57A-6. So I think it's all a mixed bag of mystery

Would you be able to explain that a little further for me, please?
When you say "identifying the mold used to cook the racquet", do you mean they all flex in the same way (all TK57A-5s flex the same and all A-2s flex the same but different to the A-5s), or what?
Because when you use the word "mold" to me that means the TK57A part. That's how you identify them as TK57As when you look at the racquet (if nothing was seen in the throat area).
Does the fact that my Zebra have the TK57A stamp (embossing) mean that it is not a TK57-B, or is it still a TK57-B because it's a Zebra and therefore a Twin Tube Construction?
