Too late. I have two reels of 17. However, I am sure things will feel better when it is warmer where I live. I HATE playing in cold weather.

Same here!!! I play on heated indoor clay courts but it still too cold for fullbed poly...
I go back to hybrid setup with sgut cross until spring.

Anyone playing with a full bed of X-perience 1.18? How long does it last for you?

I just had the string break on me near the beginning of the third match. It lasted under 4 hours which seems extremely low. I'm now getting the racket strung with 1.24. I'm counting that one will last for much longer.

So i hit with ex-perience 17 @ 47 on my prince TT100 (310). It was the best racquet/string combo I ever hit with. Awesome controlled power, spin, and it was very comfortable. Few questions for people who used this string...

1) How long does it take for it to go dead. I don't break strings ever and not a high level player (3.5ish)
2) Would you guys affirm that is comfortable? My first outing was definitely very comfortable but I do have sensitive elbow and sometimes it can take multiple outings and/or couple of days to be able to tell whether it is sitting right with my elbow.

thanks in advance.

I've been really enjoying the 1.24mm version of this - my usual string of choice is Yonex Poly Tour Pro 1.25 (probably gone through 15+ reels of it)....the signum string seems to be slightly more dialed in, comfort is great (i can probably go a tad lower than my yptp) and the tension maintenance seems outstanding after the first few hitting sessions...the string has decent pop too...

usually i know within a few hits if i'll like a setup (i immediately put down the new luxilon SMART string) -- with this stuff, it was such a seamless transition...

this is nothing like hyper g, other than the color...hyper g is much lower powered and stiffer / less feel...

1)It has a very satisfying tension maintetance, but in the end, all that matters is your strokes.
2)I have used over 10 poly strings and i can assure you that xprience is the most comfortable i have tested, even in the thickest version(16g).
I think for its price, it is a wonderful string.Did i mention the colour?

haha... yes. i have to admit... the fact that matches my TT100 (310) in colour is an added bonus...

You can play 20 hours without any problem. ;)
After 20 hours you have to cut it and restring.

Has anyone used it for a cross with nay gut? I have used cream but thought I would try the green in a hybrid. Will try full bed too. All info is appreciated

hi!

yes, thats right. thats even my experience! ... i´ve even played the 1,18 for 20 hours, without problems (and i try to play with much or massive spin :) ).

greetings, eddi.spageddi.patero!
I played and loved the 1.18 but I broke it in 6hours...
Now I found really better setup with the Grapplesnake CES/Liquid Neon Dust hybrid!!! You ALL must try it!!!!!!

I did not know it was shaped. I like the way it feels on contact myself. I also like the softness and power of a hybrid. I will play full bed next match to see how it goes.

Tried the 17g in my phantom 93p. Comfortable poly. Didnt feel it had a ton of power, but good feel and access to spin

A bit off subject but I can tell you that I simply cannot use cream in any fashion. I am still working with the xperience. Cream aggravates my elbow no matter what. Hybrid in crosses with nay gut and still gets to me. Damn.

I cannot use a string named "Cream". Just kidding, but it is still a weird name. How about a brown colored string named "poo"?

I'm going to experiment (hey, maybe "Experiment" would be a good name for a string for people on this board? lol) with X-Perience 17g in the mains at 46 and a soft, round poly like Tourna Black Zone 17g in the crosses at 44 lbs. in one of my Clash Tour sticks. I also have a set of round Yonex Poly Tour Fire 17g and a set of round Solinco Outlast 17g that could be used as cross strings.

x-perience in the string database now... it measured pretty high in stiffness (224 lbs), which i am really surprised about. i have been playing with x-perience about a month or so now.... nothing on my elbow... I think i got some TE from pure strike... 3 months ago but seems to be fading away. x-perience fixed my elbow combined with tt100 (310) :) ok.... it's impossible to know.. so many factors that can affect TE so i do not want to send anyone down a wrong path and/or mislead but I find this string to be very comfortable and the combo extremely satisfying to play with.

X-Perience 17g is a very comfortable poly in a full bed. Surprised by the stiffness rating as well, but the additives in the string must really be what makes it feel easier on the arm.

Weird. I agree with the previous posts. X-perience seems to be one of the most comfortable polys i have ever played. Is the professor drunk or what?

There is a difference between stiffness and resilience. Stiffness is the resistance to deformation and resilience is the amount of deformation possible. It's better to have a stiff resilient string than a soft non-resilient string. That's why high tension gut is better than low tension poly's. It's also why clay is better than hard courts. It's the sudden stops that are jarring and hard on you.

I suspect Experience feels comfortable despite its high stiffness rating is that the additives have produced some resilience in the string allowing it to deform more than the standard poly.

For me x-perience worked perfectly in my blade 98 2015 on carpet and hard indoors, but once I‘ve moved on clay, it became unplayable for no apparent reason.

I've been using X-Perience 1.24 with my Vcore 98+ and I agree that its an awesome and comfortable string, so much so that after experiencing some with tennis elbow after playing with Hyper G, I actually found X-Perience to be more comfortable on my arm than gut/poly! X-perience reminds me a bit of Hyper G (not just in terms of color), but is noticeably more comfortable. Good spin, control and feel - not much power, but that's okay for me playing with a longer racquet. Could see using this string for a long time.

At what tension are you using the 1.24? How do you comapre it to the 1.18?

Has anyone else tried the 1.24?

questions for x-perience experts...

i know @liftordie said 20 hours... i didnt count but maybe in my 15th hour or so with this string.... today i had trouble keeping the ball in.. even in light touches ball was trampoline-ing out of my strings... is that a sign that it's time to replace... b/c string is looking just fine visually... i never really used poly so no idea how you tell when it's dead... i would describe it as not dead but opposite.. too powerful and hard to control at the moment... which has not been my experience (pun intended) so far; so i was little surprised....

How is the tension maintenance? Are the strings moving? I play with the thickest version (16g) and I haven't experienced (sic) any serious trampoline effect...

AA7

Hall of Fame
I'll check if they are moving. I dont have means of measuring string tension so couldnt tell you.
How one does that? Ask my stringer?

Arzivu

Semi-Pro
Just by observing (after some strokes) or pressing the strings, you can see if they have the tendency to move easily (in comparison with the early days of hitting). There are some apps like racket tune also. However, tension loss is inevitable and the thinnest the string, the biggest will occur...

Hmmmm....just broke this string in about 4.5 hours of play, most of which was very casual doubles with minimal hard hitting. Anyone else find durability lacking in this string?

I use the thickest version of x-perience and while it is not the most durable poly, I cannot call it sensitive...

I am using 1.24 X-perience main, Tourna Black Zone cross in my PK 5X Pro (27.5 inch) @52/50 and I am seeing first signs of tension loss at 7.5 hours. My last string job was Hyper G 1.20 crossed with TBZ at same tension. I prefer X-perience over Hyper G. X-perience is more comfortable and maintains tension better (Could just be because it's thicker).

sounds like either a.) u need to hit with more spin or b.) restring higher tension
loose poly and flat strokes do not work well with each other

I was breaking X-p 1.18 in 7/8 hours.

I normally play the XP in average about 10 hours (up to 20 hours without breaking are possible) with my head prestige s.
BUT: yesterday i tried the XP on my new head speed 360 mp - broke after 50 minutes! ... i´m confused ... (but even the luxilon broke on the speed 360 mp after 2 hours...)

is this the temperature or the different stringbed on the speed?

new try with the XP will be on the new ordere yonex vcorePro 97 310.

greetings, esp!

I'm not really a string breaker. But do you guys have any guess in how long X-P 1.18mm would last before it breaks for a 3.5-4.0ish player? Strung in a Ezone DR 100 @ 46lbs
like 15 hours?

thanks

Not knocking Xperience but I have suffered tennis elbow for years even when playing natural gut / poly hybrid and after switching to the TT310, I am able to play full bed poly without any TE, even some fairly stiff ones that my elbow could never tolerate.
2 sets of Xperience arrived today so I’m excited to try it in my TT310.
Any recommendations for tension?

You should have no arm problems with xperience + tt310 combo... At least I had none and I do have a sensitive arm/elbow. Very comfortable. Xperience was little too powerful and not enough control for me. Too much pop and little erratic. I do not want to derail your experiment but this Grapplesnake Alpha is insane so far. Just the perfect blend of power and control w/out compromising comfort so far. but to truly test the comfort i have to play more with it. Only been an hour so far. I was kind of blown away from alpha+tt310 combo. Keep in mind, I am really skeptical of polys. TT310 is a magic stick where somehow feels super solid, good feel/connected to the ball and manages to be very comfortable. So lets me experiment with polys and I have to say Alpha seems one of the most comfortable strings i hit with including multis. Unless there are "hidden" comfort problems that would potentially rear its head later on I have to say I am sticking with it.

What about spin with Alpha?
And could you post a nice pic of your TT100 with Alpha? Want to see how it looks!!! :D

oh man... it would not be fair for me to opine on spin b/c (a) i did not play with many spin oriented strings and (ii) i don't have ton of spin in my game. Having said that, I can definitely feel a good "bite" to the ball. The feel of the string is so lively... i guess opposite of muted...w/out compromising comfort and or control... so far....

yes. i will post a picture once i figure out the way to post pictures in this forum. I have no idea why they made posting of pictures so inconvenient in this forum... at least for me...
