Extreme moonballing? She throws a moon ball up once in a while and mixes in some slices and drop shots. But her bread and butter are knocking the crap out of the ball. You obviously didn’t watch the match because this girl takes over the point with her power hitting not moonballing.

Profit gatherers established PC cult/religion to generate more profit by inclusion of incompetent made possible by transforming human civilization into cartoon for borderline mentally chalenged. Forget real life rivalries, that's too complex, unbearably demanding for limited intelect.

No PC agenda in 'races/sexes drama' can be invented here to be additionally milked. Therefore, they both (Kerber esp.) will be 'kindly asked' (warned) to calm it down. Next time they meet it will be pretty much BFF, hugs, kisses and all.

It's no rocket science, really. You can bookmark this post to read it again when next meeting of them happens.

Its nothing but a PR exercise.

The dullest and most predictable thing she could do is say "I didnt mean it, I was tired and I apologise if I caused any offense". Yawn.

She should stick to her guns. "I meant what I said".

Meanwhile Andreescu should retaliate and say what everyones thinking "Kerber is a sore loser cause she got beat by an 18 year old twice in a week."

If Kerber was angry due to MTO's opponent, so she's a hypocrite. She herself used MTO in the 2R (Karolina Muchova was the opponent).

When I first watched the match, I only noticed the driveby handshake. Bet Nadal wish he said something like that to Kyrgois at Acapulco.

I obviously watched the highlights, and I wrote as much, but in these highlights she threw moon balls more than once or twice (I think that I counted around ten instances of such play only for the highlights), and several times it was absurd to watch.

Call it what you will but it was very effective and induced a few short balls for putaways. Nothing wrong with a change of pace, also gives you a chance to catch your breath and reset.

Not sure why posting an oversize picture of Kerber celebrating on the court does anything to help your case in defense of her...

Additionally, you are basically saying that Kerber was a sore loser having lost twice to this younger player in the last week, which is why she made that comment. Losing to the same player twice in a week doesn't justify saying something like that. Nadal lost twice to Federer back in 2017 in about a 2 week span, and he never said anything like that to Fed. Heck, he lost to Fed 4 times in 2017, including 3 finals (2 Masters 1000's and a Slam) and still he never made any sour grapes comments to Federer at the net.

It strained Kerber some, but Kerber saw that and several times moon balled her back, which tells me that as the time passes the top players will get used to those tactics and will have their own. Actually, in the instances where Kerber moon balled her back more often than not she won the point.

From what I saw Andreescu was using that tactic to get herself in position to pound the ball at first chance, so moon balling her back with precision or slicing her would prove to be an effective tactic in the future.

This sounds like it was all Kerber and nothing Bianca did on the court warranted that kind of comment. I sincerely hope Kerber issues some sort of an apology, because that's just an incredibly disrespectful thing to say, and honestly, Kerber looks like the real drama queen starting for starting **** for no reason.

I watched both matches and here are my two cents on what I observed. 1.) During the Indian Wells Final Andreescu accidentally hit Kerber with the ball at least twice when her back was turned. Kerber was visibly p****** about it. 2.) Andreescu behaves as if she is slightly injured or getting cramps in almost all her matches, however, her game never seems remotely hampered by it. 3.) The handshake/kiss after the Indian Wells match appeared quite awkward. 4.) Kerber was slightly injured herself during last night’s match. 5.) Kerber was in a BAD mood all night, in fact she’s been in a crappy mood most of this season. 6.) She (Kerber) came back and won the 2nd set, then was blown out in the third. 7.) Who knows what else was going behind the scenes? Her mom could’ve been annoying her, not happy about playing late or playing a playing a player of that caliber in the third round, etc. On a side note, does anyone remember the exchange she had with Cornet a few years back? And Cornet is most definitely a drama queen.

Isnt that part of the game? Flopping and trying to get away with it? It is in other sports. Maybe there should be a penalty or just call it a TO and not an MTO. Kerber was just butthurt about losing is all.

Are you sure she's playing possum and not actually tired, on the verge of cramping and has a shoulder injury? I watched her interactions with her coach at IW and she seemed to be legitimately dying out there in the heat. Hard to fake that kind of despondency. She also totally changes her gameplan to going for winners when she gets like this. If she was playing possum, she wouldn't go straight to shortening points.

I think calling it "staged" is a pretty uncalled for accusation. Bianca has had injuries and has played a lot of tennis. I suspect if this wasn't a Premier Mandatory event, she'd be taking a little time off.
