This has 2016 written all over it. Djokovic battles through the tougher opponents in back to back matches while his opponent breezed through in straight sets the whole way. I think Nadal has the edge this time but I also won't be surprised if Djokovic guts this out because I think he is hitting the ball better right now. It depends how Djokovic feels tomorrow but Nadal with the edge now.

In 2016 Nadal wasn't the RG defending champion unlike this year. :)

Djokovic in straight sets. This matchup in recent years is just as bad as Djokovic-Nishikori. Nadal just can't play against Djokovic mentally, and given his struggles against worse players during the clay season I expect Djokovic to win this like in AO final.

It's gonna rain tomorrow and they will play on mud which suit Nole's game better. Nadal moves to his forehand side as slow as ever and if Tsitsipas was a bit smarter with choosing the strategy and avoided net approaches after going hard to Rafa's forehand, the match would be much closer.
I think Nole is gonna hurt him with angles - cc backhand in particular.

Their 5th final in Rome, on no other tournament they have same or more mutual finals.

I didn't know that. Nadal's turn now going by that trend

Very hard to predict. Nadal is fresher but Djokovic has recovered well in the past aswell. I still expect a Close match, It's clay, It's Nadal.

Yeah, pretty much this. I just really hope Novak performs better than he did in his last two finals here, which were underwhelming to say the least.

I've have to see how well Novak recovers, for now, Novak in a hopeful three set classic

Tell me about it. He will compete well but how far his body allows him to go is up in the air. In 2016, he just had nothing left for a well rested and on fire Murray and laid an egg against Zverev in 2017.
