Week 5 of Nationals - 18+ 7.0/9.0 Mixed, 55+ 8.0

Nationals continues with week 5 this weekend in Arizona (55+) and Orlando (18+ Mixed).

I just posted my simulation of 18+ 9.0 Mixed, lets hope the rain stays away, but right now the forecast is 40% chance of PM showers on Friday, and 40% of thunderstorms on Saturday, very similar to the forecast this past weekend.

Oddly, the 55+ 8.0 men on TennisLink still have no schedule shown. The event is to be starting momentarily. The women do have their schedule listed.

We've seen a few large ones already. Certainly not out of the question. A 3 court format leaves a lot less to discriminate between teams so mega ties are more likely in Mixed and 55+

I drank enough to paralyze a horse that weekend to get my back to loosen up enough to kind of serve, so I imagine I was a laugh a minute.

It was a fun weekend and we had no chance against Texas so it's all good. I played 2 great matches that year. So I'm ok sucking balls this year.

Look out 2020 lol.

Lol! Texas was ridiculous...That's why I wanted to lose to them, not be taken out 30mins before. I played well the last match, too bad Rob didn't show up to play. Unfortunate haha.

You think you'll come back down or stay 5.0? We're going to see if Stroynick can appeal back down - he's getting crushed at 5.0.

I was 4-2 in 5.0 last year and even though I only won one singles match this year I played with 4.5 partners a lot and against 5.5s so hopefully I will stay. I'll do fine in 5.0 next year regardless.

Chestnut forks right? And yes I agree, Matt's BH is a beautiful thing, he makes it seem effortless

Growing up at my club in ashburn there were 2 other pros including matt, brandon beets and gerhard ofei, i grew up learning from all 3 of them at some point, small world it is

With most the teams playing their 3rd match, the Mixed 9.0 still has 10 teams with 1 or fewer losses and only three undefeated. Could end up being close and a bit tie at 3-1.

7.0 has just 8 with 1 loss, 5 of these undefeated so less chance of a big tie.
