No he pretty much gave up. Med let him back in it and then he got fully engaged again. this comeback wasn't just about nadal fighting. it was med mentally checking out thinking he had it won.

Kinda seemed like he lost some of the tension he had by giving up and inadvertently found his own rhythm again.
Happens a lot in amateur tennis but it’s probably the first I’ve seen at the pro level. Similar to MC against Fognini except Med and Nadal traded sets this time so he was in a better position to win.

yup and i think med thought he had it won and started spraying unforced errors everywhere
if your question relates to the game itself, then I have an emotional bond with the game.
at times I have favorite players, yet respecting all of the players who made it to the pro level.
but, if you ask me about the bs happening on this part of the forum, I would say mostly having fun looking how people argue about same topics over and over, as if acknowledgement of one player as GOAT would make an impact on their life in real world.
I guess, this sentence is better to be stopped here.
