Andy Roddick
vs
Roger Federer, McEnroe, Borg, Sampras, Wilander, Becker, Berdych, Henman, Soderling and many more.
Hmm, who to believe now!?
this thread is pointless, because the Djokodal trolls will still repeat that "2015 was prime Fed" like a broken record and the rest already knew that it’s not true before Roddick said anything.

Forget about prime and post prime. Djokovic is like the guy who is trying to shoot Bambi.
And you need Roddick to tell you this?
Add Tony, Rafa, Safin, Haas, Ferrero,Laver, Paes to Team Roddick. And those are just from the top of my head.
And The first post in these threads is all about lowering the impact of the words said, shows how petty people on either side of the debate truly are, how insecure both sides are about their beliefs.
This entire "Thus spoke he" pissing contest is the worst thing on the forum. People God gave you all a brain. Use it.
Obviously not. Read the room.
You can't watch and make up your own mind? Pretty poor, not sure what you're doing on a tennis forum.
Nah, I get it. But this is still going down the road of "this pro said this", "that pro said that" nonsense.
You're not going to affect the opinion of Nadal and Novak fanbases, they'll hop on to some other tennis pundit nuts and continue waxing about the peak 35+ year old Fed, strongest current era etc. etc.
What would change/adjust their views would be if a young ATG emerged among the social media gen, don't hold your breath on that happening.
Forget about prime and post prime. Djokovic is like the guy who is trying to shoot Bambi.
I don't base my opinions on what the pro's think. However considering the amount of trolling from those fanbases on this subject if a "so called expert" (one who's views on "tennis evolving" they've been championing for the last couple of weeks) offers a different point of view you bet I'm going to post it.
Perhaps I should be above this tit for tat and stoking the flames - but I'm not. If you are then more power to you.
That's very nice of you.
Didn't know I was a God.
Cool thing. It is said men should follow their God.
If so my devotees will suffer grossly from procrastination and critical levels of laziness.
I think he meant that it's nice of you that you presume all of them have a functioning brain.
You alright mate?July'15-'Jan'16 Fed very underrated
Rod has it right once again.
Only difference of opinion we had lately is I rated him higher than he does himself. We agreed we'd both like to do his wife, and we also agreed my backhand is prettier than his.
wat.
Meanwhile 2004-07 Roger --> 12-10Djokovic against Big4:
14-2 from 2011 Australian Open to 2012 Australian Open
21-4 from 2014 Paris to 2016 Rome QF
highest level of tennis ever
Is that a water bottle in front you? Never heard someone get this wasted just by drinking water.
Do I look alright to you?
It's nice to hear Fed prime depending on Djokovic...
All this prime-non prime story is dubious... Most often it depends of winning against top players... You win-you are in prime, you lose-you are not in prime...
Most commonly from Fed fans we hear that he lost half of step or similar... But can we measure what he gained with extra years? Don't you remember how good Fed played that slams he lost against Djokovic 14/15? Had he played any other in finals...
Yeah, I wouldn't know Fed is past his prime in 2015 if not for A-Rod. Loses to Seppi in a HC slam, goes down in straights to his pigeon Stan at the FO (freakin' Nadal usually needed 4 sets to finish off Fed there) and ends year ranked behind Murray.
2004-2007 Fed won 7/8 HC slams, one lost against a zoning Safin in a tight 5 setter but Seppi lol.
Using your own brain to form an opinion based on following the game seems to have become a novel concept.
Seppi 2015 was a better player than Safin 2005, because evolving.

Well, it seems, God wasn't too generous in your case then.Add Tony, Rafa, Safin, Haas, Ferrero,Laver, Paes to Team Roddick. And those are just from the top of my head.

All this time and you still have no answer to those statsLew going off topic with the same tired old stats because he doesn't want to expose his hypocrisy again
All this time and you still have no answer to those stats
It's an interesting opinion from Roddick. All opinions from pro players are intersting. But what answer shold I give to him? He's not even reading. This thread is about Arod's comments. Guess you have no answer to it. Perhaps start your own thread on "H2H stats versus Big 4" or bump one of your old ones.
*Beaten man goes off topic*
Oh poor me.But no harm.Well, it seems, God wasn't too generous in your case then.

to leave the fan war axe behind for a moment, can we agree that Roddick is a good tennis pundit and commentator? Such as here, he's giving an account that is generous to both players, not too clouded by any obvious agenda, and spices it up with both some humor and tennis knowledge.
Oh poor me.But no harm.
At least you have someone of your own level to talk to.
LOL at that painfully obtuse deflection. It's an interesting opinion from Roddick. All opinions from pro players are intersting. But what answer shold I give to him? He's not even reading.
You didn't look very passionate about Roddick's words in that thread eitherWell when Arod said tennis had moved past him you needed to change your pants. I just find it funny how his opinion on one subject can be gospel and on another it's "an interesting opinion" and not worth a comment
It's like when Fed says he's at his best you lap it up but when he says he had mono you don't believe him...
Nah, I get it. But this is still going down the road of "this pro said this", "that pro said that" nonsense.

True! I was never a Roddick fan, but I have come to like him more recently. Whether Fed was at his peak or near peak in the three Wimbledon and one US final vs Novak, I believe no other player those years would have defeated Roger in those finals, especially at Wimbledon.to leave the fan war axe behind for a moment, can we agree that Roddick is a good tennis pundit and commentator?
