Anyone venture into Gut/poly with the Prestige Mid during the colder temps?
I did it this spring.

I was playing the TC95 16m 63RA for a while and often still use it. I have it unstrung at 327g 12 HL. I think my Prestige is about the same specs with leather and 5g silicone but don't recall ATM. Will check when I get home. Can anybody compare to Angell TC95 16x19 re feel, power, precision, manoeuvrability? I like almost everything about the TC95 except its high launch angle due to the open pattern and wonder, whether the Prestige Mid would be a viable alternative.
Thanks.

Below is hitting with the old ProStaff 97,...
Can we get some new mid gaslighting? I'm getting bored

Ok, having a tough time lately, nothing to really play for. Working on some technical stuff with my strokes, trying to figure out how to serve, and playing my friends isn't so inspiring. Plus work is insane, I keep randomly getting hurt and am not too keen on gym going right now.
Anything in particular you would like?

Found this old picture of him using an IG prestige or at least something with an IG pj, maybe an ig pro? No clue as the link is blocked.Wow - Alex Bolt went from a Yonex ezone to a Head “prestige” of sorts? Pt57a 16x19?
Yeah it kept blocking the link for some reason. Funny though - doesn’t seem very common for players to switch away from Yonex these days right?Found this old picture of him using an IG prestige or at least something with an IG pj, maybe an ig pro? No clue as the link is blocked.
I wouldn’t personally if I had a deal with Yonex. They have the best pj’s in my opinion and have some cool players. Plus they are a brand I would personally want to represent.Yeah it kept blocking the link for some reason. What’s your set up on your G360+ PM, if any?Anyone have a direct comparison between the prestige mid and extreme tour? I’m loving the mid but feel I need a little more real estate when coming over the top with my one handed backhand against heavy topspin shots.
interested in this as well.Anyone have a direct comparison between the prestige mid and extreme tour? I’m loving the mid but feel I need a little more real estate when coming over the top with my one handed backhand against heavy topspin shots.

Lead at 12 is the only change I made. Plays 12.3 oz 7 pts HL. Tried black knight/ghost wire 17g at 48/48 and was slightly overpowered for me after initial tension loss. Going to string full bed black knight 17g at 50/50 next. What’s your set up on your G360+ PM, if any?
Yeah that seems to be the consensus of what I am hearing. I plan to lead it up to similar specs as my mid.The extreme tour was about 20g too light for me. The prestige mid I can just string, grip, rip and repeat.

Interesting. Ever tried putting lead at 3&9? You said that the strings were slightly overpowering after initial tension loss, how’s the weather over where you are at?

I never have tried putting lead at 3&9 before. Black knight/ghost wire played great at 48/48 for about the first hour then started to loosen up. I measured a 4.4lb difference from beginning to end of the first 2 hour session and tension stayed consistent for the next 2 hour session. I like to flatten out my forehand for winners and this was the shot I was either hitting the baseline or missing long. Normal rally balls were fine but I just wasn’t able to step on the gas when I wanted to with my forehand. Weather is slowly warming up (mid 60s).Interesting. Ever tried putting lead at 3&9? I suggest you to try it out if you are having stability issues. Interesting about your experiment. I assume you tried the tension during at night, if so, it may due to the humidity for the loss of tension. Almost 4.5lbs is a lot only after a 2hr session, imo.I never have tried putting lead at 3&9 before. Black knight/ghost wire played great at 48/48 for about the first hour then started to loosen up. Let’s hear it
thanks for this.Ok, so feel is no contest. The Prestige feels more solid and has more direct feedback, the Extreme is more numb but more forgiving off center.
On the power/spin ratio the Prestige sits right in the middle, it wants to hit a fast ball with heavy rotation. The Extreme naturally generates spin and is almost comical in its ability to bend the ball but takes some conscious effort to flatten the ball out.
It's not that the extreme lacks power, it's just that it naturally gravitates towards spin, when you decide to flatten one out it goes plenty fast.
The Prestige is a comprehensively great serving racquet, but spin serves with the extreme are comical.
On the volley the Extreme is more of a point the racquet where you want the ball to go and block it while the Prestige is more suited to going through the ball at net while still giving good feedback on touch shots.

Who is Alex Bolt? Looks like he went 4 sets with nobody first round in AO and then got drilled by Dimitrov in straight sets 2nd round. The chick in post #1697 is more interesting.
Thanks for the review. I’m curious how the extreme tour plays leaded up. Stock weight seems a little light. I like the mid around 350 grams strung.Ok, so feel is no contest. The Prestige feels more solid and has more direct feedback, the Extreme is more numb but more forgiving off center.

Anybody been able to compare VCore Pro HD vs the Mid?
-ive come to differentiate the extreme and prestige as follows:
-if you like to swing ,"at the ball" then the extreme is for you!
-if you like to swing ,"through the ball" then the prestige is for you!
-i am a old-school, flat-ish hitter that hits through the ball, soo heavy/solid with plowthrough is what i like
-even the heaviest of the extreme.pro ,(i have) is not heavy enough for me, but boy oh boy does it have easy power and spin!!
-the h.extreme line is comparable to the w.clash line, fun sticks to play with
-if i was feeding balls all day, i would use the h.extreme

-the speed is a good stick for a 2HBH; being a 100", its a bit sluggish/tricky coming around with the 1HBHHow do you feel about the Speed and Radical?
