I hereby humbly express my respect towards the Swiss legend, Roger Federer.
What he's been doing on court at this stage of his career is nothing short of remarkable and I wish him all the good luck.

You just can't hate this guy, just stop doing it even if you do right now. Love and admire the show while its still going on, even you'll miss the guy once he's not there on court anymore.

Thanks & regards,
-Carl Thompson.

I would have respected him even more if he had said "Bring Medvedev and Hurkacz out here. There's an arena full of people, you have a couple of hours left. You all want to see more tennis, right?"

That's what Comrade Novak would have done.
They were already sent home so not much good that would've done.

Come on, how do you know?

You mean, the same Novak who insisted that 2018 Wimbledon SF against Rafa should continue in indoors when there was bright sunshine next day?

He is not AELTC chief and no need put his nose in the CC Administration when you have a lot of things to do.

By the way Med will resume tomorrow on CC

What about aggravated Fed haters who have made 10 threads till now to target him for something that he can't be blamed for.
I think the threads are aimed at the incompetent organization and suggesting they're conspiring to give Federer an advantage, but of course the easily aggravated Fed fans take them personally.

No, he is not in charge, and he cannot make a decision, but this thread is about respecting an individual. The players had already been sent home, they were not going to come back, but Federer didn't know that, and if he had just suggested such a thing it would have been a moment worthy of respect.

They should have given the players a choice:
Finish the match on CC today or resume tomorrow. What do you think the players would have chosen?
They can't give that choice because centre court will be empty as all spectator would have left. So would they have agreed to play in different conditions and in a empty stadium...i don't think so. Hubi would have definitely want to resume tomorrow as he was struggling today.

You can only take a decision if both players agree to it.

Yeah. Maybe he should have just handed over his wallet and car keys too. I would have respected that.

Lol no one is so dumb to not understand the coward attempt by detractors of Fed. Nothing is aimed at the event they are upset that Fed made it to QFs easily...they wanted to see Federer lose. Its as simple as that.

I bet med wouldn't have too much problem to resume tomorrow as much as these haters have now.

Its a terrible look for rafa though isnt it? Roger coming back from 2 knee surgeries and rafa just being tired? All while being 4 years younger.

Establishment Novak would have said "we have to respect the organisers and rely on their decisions".

Fed does deserve respect. But I would have respected him even more if he conceded that overrule on BP vs Sonego...if Djoker had done that there would have been 5 threads about it

So many Nadal fans seem to be rooting for Federer. Puzzles me as historically is it not better for Djokovic to win out of the two this event as keeps Nadal joint top?
Back on topic Federer is the star of this event. It is truly remarkable what he is doing and if he makes the final he probably secures GOAT title regardless of what happens if he beats Medveeev and FAA or Mattel along the way.
He is an inspiration. Form is temporary class is permanent. Federer proving that each round.

You have to make the final to go on and win it...

A few blades of grass was the separating factor the last time:-

Federer needs to catch fire enough to cause this:-

Will it be a scorching day on Sunday over at the AELTC ?
