Top Spin 3

i really hope its more like top spin than top spin 2. I loved that top spin was pretty user friendly and didnt have all the extra shots and buttons to worry about in top spin 2, and also you could create and train players with ease and come up with a huge roster of players, whereas top spin 2 req'd you to train for a long time.

I don't really care which one it replicates but they need to buff up the difficulty. i was winning slams way before my training was done in 2. but i hope the roster is bigger and more distinct. alot of the characters played the same. as for the roster i'd like.

Men:
Fed
Nadal
Gonzalez
Gasquet
Nalbandian
Djokovic
Ferrer
Karlovic (doubt they'd put him in)
Youzny
Murray

Women:
Henin (don't think we've every had her in a game)
Ivanovic
Chakvetadze
Hantuchova
Vaidisova
Szavay
Zvonareva
Golovin
Peer

Maybe throw in a top junior or two and donald young somewhere in there as well. I think they should also include pros playing on the retired tour and have a mode playable where you can play on the ATP/WTA or the senior tour. maybe transfer your character to the senior tour after your ATP/WTA run as well. i think that would be cool. as well as lots and lots of licensed gear.

I am under the impression someone has vandalized the website, as Federer has been placed under Legends. Rafter was placed, and never Coria.

Anyone played SmashCourt? That's my fav series; most realistic. The original for PS2 had Sampras and Agassi down very realistically. Wimbledon really looked like Tennis' Cathedral in that 1 too

I have both Smash Courts, and yes the play seemed realistic. And I will have to agree with you, Wimbledon looks nice, especially on smash 2. You can hear the thump of an ace hitting the walls. Only downside to that game was the lack of online play and licensed products amongst others.

I like how they have the legends in there such as Pete Sampras and Pat Rafter, but what no Agassi on that list. I just hope this game has individual player animations just like Virtua Tennis 3 had.

My dream lineup of anti-legends would be Michael Stich (prettiest, smoothest as azz wipe silk like sliver player like ever), Sergi Bruguera (most uniquest topspin groundie form like EVA, for real), Cedric "My Private Dancer" Pioline, Richard "Knight Rider Fan here" Krajicek, Petr "I love SKIM milk on my cereal for breakfast" Korda, and Yevgeny "I'm grumpy" Kafelnikov.

This said, what good is a legends game with out Jimmy Connors? Man, that would be something fierce if he ever got his virtual reality hands on that good for nothing Andrei Medvedev, with that lazy-boy recliner serve; flipping channels, in his dreams.

Top Spin 1 for original X box: Still the The best tennis game ever IMO, Very smart artificial intelligence in this game,,,if you have this game play doubles on hard against robredo and grosjean on clay courts, its REALLY difficult and really fun...this game plays so fluidly and realistically, sometimes i forgot i wasn't actually playing tennis, kick serves bounce high, dropshots, angles, its great

Top Spin 2: Totally stunk compared to Top spin 1. racket ball contact noise sounds like a garbage can lid banging, and there are no instant replays, plus all you have to do is slice the ball corner to corner to beat the computer....boring...stupid artificial intelligence. Even though i have a 360 i still keep my original x box plugged up to play top spin original

Top Spin 3: Hope its as good as Top Spin 1 and nothing like top spin 2

I don't have a Wii, but it would be great fun to play Top Spin on one. If it turns out to be good, it may even get me to buy one.

they screwed up top spin 2 so bad im torn over even trying 3. top spin 2 was a disaster. the movement sucked players were so clunky. vt3 blew it out the water in terms of gameplay. and 2ksports has a way of screwing up games. look at mlb2k7 every thing is home run.

Topspin 1 was the best tennis game i've ever played, out of the virtua tennis franchise or even the arcade games; there is no engine better and more precise than that of the topspin 1 game. I hope this one is like that, or else it will be just another marshmellow tennis title like others after topspin have become

i only have topspin. its a great game. i do have some problems with it though. i mean the one thing that i don't like is that its pretty much impossible to hit more then 5 aces in a match. plus you can't hit RISK slice serves out wide. i mean you kinda can if you move the ball all the way to that side of the box, but it would be cool if you could actually hit a designated slice serve. also you can't really hit drop shot winners from the baseline. if your player is set to defense, precision, and has 5's on strokes, you can just pretty much hit top spin shots to the very corners which is just freaking cheap lol. but other then those complaints its a great game, playing on clay is a little exaggerated but im not going to complain!

Topspin is okay, almost all the players play the same though. Nadal's forehands don't have any more topspin in the game than anyone elses which they should since they are attempting to make it really realistic.

yeah i have the second one, and I think its one of the best tennis games out there because its actually realistic. If you've played VT3 or the topspin series, you have probably seen the computers making some impossible shots.
