This looks to be a repeat of 2005 where Roger didn't win a slam until Wimbledon. 2 out of 4 is still good.

not just so, I believe he will win in convincing fashion. He's got to be hungry for a big title this year...a man accustomed to his level of success will not take this lying down. Now that clay is out of the way, where Nadal has been an absolute beast (props for that), Federer will be keen to show his abilities.

I would like to see Federer win more than any other player, though I would feel pretty bad for Nadal if he became runner up to Federer again in a really close 5 set match.
One thing for sure, with Djokovic, Nadal and Federer this is going to be a very interesting Wimbledon, as nothing will be certain. All three are very capable on grass.

I also believe in him.
And I do believe that with no roof at Wimbledon last year the wind did play a factor. With the roof back on this year, Roger will be back in his element.
My prediction: Six in a row for the Grasscourt master. :twisted:

Maybe he is "blinded" by last year's Wimbledon final. Federer was very lucky to win that day.
I was not talking about the closing roof, I was talking about he part of the roof they took off for last year. The circular part which covers the seats. it keeps the wind out.. it will be back on this year.

Yes, it's a lock 2005 = 2008. Only this year he took one Estoril title prior the grass and 2005 he already had 6 titles by this time.

But in 2005 Federer had already won 7 titles including 3 MS heading into Wimbledon. This year he's won 1 title and 0 MS.

Yeah,Federer was one of the best players ever in 2005 even though he won "only" 2 slams,he lost to Safin at AO who was playing breathtaking tennis like he did when he crushed Sampras at USO.Fed almost equaled Mac's win percentage(he would have if not for Nalbandian in TMC)that year.

It's a fairly obvious call IMO. I am interested to see which side of the draw the Djoker goes in, maybe that's the only thing to scupper your "prediction". For the record I'll be rooting for Federer.

The last 2 years, Federer was competitive with Nadal but this year is different. Nadal has raised his game to another level. I think he can beat Federer if they meet up in the Finals at Wimbledon again. I consider Djokovic as Nadal's toughest matchup now.

Yeah and Federer has also never been beaten that bad before in a final and I think he's a bit embarrassed. He is coming to Wimby to prove a point (that he is the undisputed #1) and I think he's going to do that with a vengence. I guess we'll have to wait and see but I feel pretty confident in saying that he is going to win this Wimby too.
