Yeah, I just saw that he won. I'm happy for him, but I just can't seem to figure out why Gasquet is so incredibly inconsistent. Sure, Moya is still a great player, but you'd think Gasquet could at least bring him to a third damn set.

What can I say, he just keeps on goin. He's still got mad endurance is the crazy part. Not all the time, but he plays some long matches and keeps them close still. I'm a little surprised that he's doing better on clay than hard still, in his older age you think the faster court would help him more.

Heres to him winning it, making it 9 years in a row with a title

To be honest, watching Carlos Moya gives me great hope.

To see a 32 year old man still able to hang on with the young guns in grueling matches and reach FINALS and WIN... just like Agassi and Sampras.

What gets me happy about that is it puts hope for Federer in his upcoming years when he reaches 30 - 32 years old. Won't move as fast, but if Moya can reach finals and hang in there, Federer can too.

Just checked...this is his 44th ATP final!!!! Not too bad....Simon is hot right now, but I have faith...I think Carlos can win!!!!

I've always admired Moya's game, big serve, big forehand and amazing footwork. Too bad his backhand is quite weak.

yes i am also amazed how such a bad player can win titles... it can happen only in 2008... lol
weak tournament really, simon is one of the worst players who have ever won a tournament

Gasquet is ridiculously overrated. It takes more than "pretty" shots to be a champion I suppose.

let me start fire:
your favourite player a la rafa wouldnt lose a game against simon if he played seriously point by point

congratulations!!!

Is that sarcastic? I was being serious. He is one of the most boring players to watch. I prefer watching Llodra a thousand times. Or to speak about other French players: Tsonga, Santoro (also rather a pusher but one with magic) or even Gasquet. Simon and to a lesser Gasquet extent are players without any adventure in their game.

I can't stand Simon's style, I prefer to have a discussion about light frames, new strings and hawk eye with Carillo and Jmac than to watch him play.

Agreed. Very ugly game. Awkward mover. That backhand sure is effective though.
