Where are the serve-and-volley players?
I can't stand long rallies in Wimbledon. It's not the place for it. This is becoming a dead art, but I truly hope that this playing style comes back from the ashes some day.
Even on clay and hard courts, I can't stand when pro players hit that sick shot and don't rush to the net, staying like 6, 9 feet behind the baseline. I mean, come one, tennis is a sport where you have to take all advantages you can possibly get.
Sorry for the rallies fans, but especially in Wimbledon, I enjoyed watching Sampras, Henman, Rafter, Phillipousis, Rusedski, and that kind of player. The grass around the net is not even touched!!!! Come back, killing approach slices!!!! Rallies are for RG.
