just use your credit card, then use your gift visa cards for other essentials that you'll be buying in the next few weeks. use the cash you would have used for the essentials to pay off the CC used for the machine.

we just bought a tent for 203 dollars, had a 200 gift card. not sure why they wouldn't make up the difference on another card (too many transaction fees likely), but c'est la vie.

or.....sell the gift cards for cash, deposit the money, voila!

be creative.

Why don't you go to your bank issuing the credit card, and deposit the Visa gift cards into that credit card account, then just use the one card for the purchase.

pretty sure most retailers do not accept two forms of payment unless one is a direct gift card for that store. example- visa gift card + paypal.

Im only 13.

if your parents are supportive of the endeavor, they can help you out.
(trade them the cards, mow some lawns, split some wood, etc.)

otherwise you may have to get creative, not sure of the best method.

edit: heck if you can verify and get/deposit me all the funds/gift cards/paypal, etc.
i'll order the machine for you and have it shipped to you. but this requires a great
amount of trust on your part. you work the details, i'll help you out, kid.

...maybe his parents dont want him getting a stringing machine, he's also said that he is not allowed to play tournaments because his parents think he will get "competitive"

Why not call TW and order from a Live person, I bet they can process multiple payment sources.

BTW dealing with a minor is not enforceable without the consent of their parents or guardians. There was a great thread in the "References" section a while back regarding dealing with a minor.

We can't really talk about where you can purchase. You simply might have to get your parents in on this and work out payments with them. That said, I hope you really need/want this. I guess an X-2 or similar is only the price of a few videogames these days, but I hope you're planning ahead with your money. A potential work-around option that could be considered would be to incrementally charge up a gift card for a particular tennis equipment supplier and use that for the single purchase. However, once done, that is where your money is--no getting it back in cash form. There is nothing saying a 13 y.o. can't be smart with his finances, but you have to be sure you're really thinking ahead, as you don't have the experience of the rest of us. And you don't want to create a problem for a business if your parents decide you shouldn't have used your money that way. I don't know your situation, but you have to consider all of this in advance.

Im not doing this behind my parents back.

Assuming that is true, you know your options. We just can't talk about other tennis suppliers. You'll have to do your own "Googling," and do your research. Determine that it is absolutely what you want, read the descriptions/disclaimers, and check on shipping costs, if any.

Parker, can't you take a millisecond before hitting the Submit Reply button to see if what you've written actually makes sense? You are 13, not 6.

Now one parent is against the idea? Both, but using your own money is OK? Is it just your confusing sentence construction again?

Unfortunately for the kid, they don't have the Progression 200 on the TW stringing machine page any longer. But he knows the price, which means he knows where to get it, right, Parker512?

And this is not an attack, but you really do need to work on your spelling and sentence construction, Parker512 -- not that any of us are always perfect when attempting to answer questions in a reasonable time.

Why do you need it at the moment anyway? Are you suddenly breaking strings? Playing indoor tennis? The weather isn't going to be tennis-friendly in CT much longer, and even now, the Northeast is moderately cold, rainy, and windy.

No, where do ou come from it still makes sense.

Kid, i hate to break this news to you, but your spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation are all messed up. you should start paying attention in english class or your teacher may fail you. if you can't tell what's wrong with your posts, you should ask your english teacher.

Seriously... I mean, what's the point of posting something if you're not getting your point across?

What's an ou? I don't know where they come from either.

Seriously, don't you ever wonder what those red wavy lines are under many of the words you type? They are called misspellings and they make it harder to understand what they heck you are trying to communicate if you don't fix them.

It is funny that you can't even tell what is wrong with the sentence you wrote so I'll lay it out for you.

1. You asked where certain stringing machines could be purchased.
2. Radicalized explained to you why the names of those other sites can't be mentioned here, because they are in competition with TW. In some cases, the forum software even censors the names of those competitors.
3. You responded "wait you cant just use code word like putting spaces in between the letters!"

Yet what you appear to be asking with that sentence is for people to put the names of those other sites in code by adding spaces to them, like for example "e b a y".

However, by using "cant" (or more accurately can't) instead of "can" in the above sentence, you are stating that people "can not" do what you are asking them to do.

Do you understand the difference between the words "can" and "cant" and that they have exactly opposite meanings?

Finally, if you think I'm the only one here with who has difficulty understanding what you write then you either haven't read this thread very closely or you don't understand what others are saying in it. I think we've already established that though.

I can promise you however that will be my last post ever in response to anything you write from here on out. Good luck finding a machine.

how does one earn an A, but yet in 1 short post, commits 3 spelling errors and 1 punctuation error? what does this say about your teacher? i guess it's reflective of the current sorry state of our education system.

Nope.

In reference to post 30, mad dog1 was being quite generous. He/she didn't even count the "I"s that were left in lowercase.

Okay people, can we stop criticizing the kid on his spelling and grammar errors and just help him with his issue? I would suggest talking to a live person and whoever you are trying to purchase the machine from is obviously going to have a service where you can contact them directly.

Note to OP: Dude really check your spelling and grammar. I get it your a teen but still, thats no reason to make it look like your stupid and can only write in "text". It really irks some people on these boards and for the record I am 15 years old and not an adult just to make myself clear. Just please write like a normal person.

Sorry if I made any spelling or grammatical errors!
