Oh so you say I always call bench players scubs but now I don't? Good job trying to change it now that you've been proven wrong again. Show me where I said bench players are bad and can't play defense. Show me where I say every single one of them is like that. Oh you can't? Cuz I never said that, kid. You just love to make up stuff and pretend I said it for some pathetic reason.
Yea he had the elbow coming to him. Shadow and trash talk players who have accomplished more and start when you haven't done anything significant in the league is going to get you hurt when you mess with the wrong guy. Harden was asking for a reaction when he p!ssed off Artest, anyone with half a brain can see that, apparently you can't.
So let's see, according to your logic when a player who comes off the bench and hasn't accomplished anything in the league trash talks and shadows starters and players who have actually accomplished things is ok but then there is no possible way that maybe, just maybe going after the most violent player in the league won't have any possible negative outcomes and he isn't asking to get hurt? But trash talking and disrespecting better players is ok and everyone should do it? And when someone says that given the above scenario Harden was going to get hurt and was basically asking for it all of a sudden means all bench players suck? You suck at reading comprehension and understanding basic English and logic that's for sure.
Pulled from the other NBA thread after the Artest elbow incident:
"LOL I actually play basketball so I'm pretty sure I understand why they're on the bench better than you. Let me know when you walk onto a team that got votes to be ranked in the top 25 DI this year and beat Temple and Creighton.
Oh and coming off the bench = bad player. You're really desperate now, just give up I've destroyed everyone of your pathetic attempts to defend Harden. Making up stuff isn't going to help"
"
Uh Manu and Harden come off the bench cuz they can't do **** on defense. So one unsportsmanlike act is fine (trash talking) and actually good for sports but another is bad (throwing an elbow to the head)? Okay you sound like a logical person lol. You should probably stay far away from sports from now on since you clearly have double standards worse than the guys posting in the pro player discussion threads."
Yeah, CLEARLY I made those up right? Selective memory, or not owning up on your words?
I can't believe you're still fighting for Artest elbowing people. First of all, you just don't elbow people in the head, especially to the side or the back of the head. There's a reason why even fighting sports don't allow blows to the back of the head.
"Messed with the wrong guy?" How does that justify anything? If a victim fights back against a known criminal during a robbery and gets hurt, does it justify the criminal's actions because the victim "messed with the wrong guy."
Second of all: In a competition, everyone should be on level playing grounds. If there are any trash talking, it's about the present. It's not personal, and it doesn't go beyond the court. What, just because you've won a championship, I should think twice about going after you? No, right now, in this competition, I believe I'm better than you. That's what healthy trash talking is about. Of course, if it gets personal and goes beyond the court, there's no place for that.
Finally, don't talk to me about reading comprehension and understanding English. Especially, when you are going back and forth on your argument: "I said this, no wait I didn't say that!" Then, your lack of punctuation.
You obviously have a problem with James Harden even when he's having a breakthrough year, so there's no point in arguing with you.
I don't have a problem with Artest. I applaud his lock-down defense and hustle plays. I'll even look beyond his errant passes and questionable shot selections. But there's no room for elbows.
