maybe we should list 5 potential locations and then pick from those? otherwise there might be 9 different votes for the court closest to their house...
well from what they told me they will put me to trial even if i dont have a lawyer, so they suggest i get one so i dont get screwed. my parents dont know about this. but yea good call i am going to act real remorseful, etc.believe me, even though u may be perfectly competent and highly intelligent to represent urself, the fact is u r still very young in the courts eye. iam assuming ur still in ur early 20's. believe it or not the judge will be doing u a favor by not hearing ur case until u get the best representation. as I mention, the court wants u to show remorse, pay money, got reamed by ur folks. tell the judge ur parents want to come but u didn't want them to cuz u want to own up to ur mistake. so I got all my savings and got the best counsel I can. I want to say sorry... u know give the court the good old zap genuine treatment.
u will prob get 1 yr probation and some in fines. don't do anything dumb or say anything unless ur told to by the judge or counsel. u will be OK. I am still wondering unless u did a dui, the only other thing that warrants a court showing is reckless, for the standard 500 to 1200 range. it couldn't be that bad, if it is, u will be in the klank already asking us about bail instead.
No Merkin possibilies with the Canyon bush
No I cant but some chic in for life may go the Amish route and not shave anythign for 15 years. Thats gotta be pretty serious.
So its more than speeding? If its DUI, your are pretty much hosed either way. I doubt an attorney will do any diferent than public defender. Probably have to enter a program and probably get license suspended for a year.
If you already had suspended liscense and were drivinf with suspended licesnse you will probably get time regardless as well.
But still DUE, and wreckless driving carry max fine of 1000 bucks for 1st offense. So half your fine will be going to lawyer with no garuntee you still wont get max. And 1st offense max jail is 1 year. Id wager with defender or lawyer you will end up with 500 fine and 1yr probation. If there was alchohol involved look forward to AA and some safe driver program.
you may even want to look into AA or safe driver and start before the trial and let the Judge know that you feel bad and already started doing what you felt you needed to do to get your life back on the straight and narrow.
Obviulsy if you were drifting a corner and plucked a kid i got completly different advice.
"Watch out for your cornhole bud."
ok ok. i didnt want to post this public. but basically i got pulled over. then officer says i am driving with suspended liscense. so now i gotta go to trial for that. so HW are you serious about doing time for having suspended liscense?????? this cannot be happening. there was no DUI or alcohol or anything crazy.

that's not terrible zap. i thought it would be a lot more exciting like maybe you smuggled 200 kilos of counterfeit babolat racquets in the trunk of your rice rocket and attempted to bribe the officer with a very good knockoff aeropro drive. btw it sounds like you didn't know you had a suspended license? did you or did you not know you had a suspended license? I WANT THE TRUTH! i can handle the truth.
what's for lunch people?
Question for you all on match protocol:
My opponents had a ball roll behind them between their first and second serve. After the ball was returned to the court it came from, the server then missed his second serve and started to take a third. My partner and I had already moved to receive the next serve and we never offered him a first serve do over. After that game, the opponent was miffed and said he believed in lets in that case and that is was a rule. In casual matches, I would always offer that my opponent retake first serve, but I didn't here.
So, am I jerk for not offering it? And also, is it some rule I don't know about? Of note, later in the match, the same thing happened to me. I asked the guy if I should take a let since it is a rule... heh. He said only if I felt it interfered. I took my second serve and left it at that. I think if that was the case, you could just take max time between first and second serve waiting for stray balls!
Anyway, got my first two wins at 3.5 level this past couple weeks.
i would tell him to take a 1st serve...but hit it at the speed of his 2nd...

Yeah, I don't think it's a rule either - it's a courtesy call. Also when you didn't offer it to him, did he serve it like a 2nd serve or did he hit it like a 1st?

If the server didn't stop play and asked for a let. Too bad for him. Being miffed after the match is not cool. Let me guess, you won the match, right?
hey cb-i got my hands on the NYC today. let me know if you want one. i may be able to hook you up.
If it was JRK he just hit two first serves.
JRK! You're alive!!!
I'm on 95. Totally freaking stopped.

If your serve has a 50% chance of going in no matter what you do, you might as well blast both serves.

sweet! Have you played with one yet?
Zap, chances are you are probably going to extend your suspension. What was the reason for the suspension? Were you coming back from work? If so, you can tell that to the judge. Not sure if Maryland is a right to work state.

because of an old address is the reason for the suspension? You will be fine.
Just worry about how to sneak us into the CitiOpen courts!
The license wasnt suspended then it was just expired so you were techically driving without a license.
You moved and didnt get a change of address on your license. So when they mailed the letter to you you didnt get it. Thats probably a pretty bad excuse. Have you at least since then gone to MVA and re-did you rlicense or are you still driving with he expired one.
They probably dont lock you up, but you will probably end up paying the 500 dollar fine. Probably get the 5 pts and the points from the speeding ticket.
It is your resposibilty to let the MVA or state govt. know where you live it is not the states fault you forgot and let you license expire. Which essentially what you will be saying in court. Its pretty much the worst excuse and last thing a judge will want to hear.
In the words of Lee Corso.
"Not so fast my friend"
What do you mean by fine? He will have to pay one, but shouldnt get lail time. Maybe a weekend like they did with my sister, but not enough to stress over.

The family is doing fine... took Rio out on spongebob courts for her first tennis lesson. She was really good at pointing out airplanes in the sky.

I was at Bethesda a few days ago for Baby #2 appointment and was wondering if TM and Sappy still worked there, then I decided to check the TMAC website to see what was up.
There is still some hope for Rota after the wife's tour at Belvoir.
name 2nd kid Lobo
Nice racket, that's the same one Rio uses. I was torn between the Dora one and the Spongebob racket.
