Andrew Murray will not make it past R2 in Wimbledon 2012

He has lost the only 3 matches he played on grass - goes into Wimbledon with ZERO confidence.

He hired Lendl way too late - sure he may be mentally tougher than he was before - but what does that matter now that he is irreversibly PHYSICALLY declining? It happens to all grinders with his playing style at his age. He peaked physically at the 2012 AO SF and has been declining since then.

Anyway - you heard it here first - wouldn't be surprised if Andrew suffered a 'shock' 1st round loss, but definitely no further than R2 at Wimbledon.

Murray made the third round whilst ranked 312. That's his worst Wimbledon performance.

Most likely Murray would not play players of that level in the early rounds.

I'm betting he makes it to the SF. GS tournaments are another animal versus regular tournaments and exhibitions. The GS format of 3/5 separates the men from the boys.

If Murray does lose early, it wouldn't surprise me, but I expect him to get to the quarter finals at least.

If Andy can make the quarters at RG,he can at least make the quarters at Wimby. I think he has a good shot at making the final this year if he avoids being in Prilosec's half of the draw.

Nadal will face Haas in 3rd, Kohlschreiber in 4th, Tsonga in QF, Murray in SF this year.
I hope he will get eliminated by Haas in 3rd.

Murray will face Davydenko in 1st, Ferrer/Del Potro in QF this year.
I hope he will get eliminated by Del Potro in QF.
Then we'll have a new pair in SF this year at Wimbledon - hopefully Tsonga vs. Del Potro.

We nearly had Tsonga vs Delpotro in the RG semi a few weeks ago.

But, lol, even if Murray scrapes past Davydenko (which is a tough 1st round match on a fast surface), he will never get past Karlovic who will take him out in 3 tiebreak sets.

Is this the same Davydenko who has 6 x R1 and 2 x R2 Wimby exits out of 10 visits and the same Ivo Karlovic who is 0-3 v Murray? These guys are going to trouble the only player on tour to have reached the semis @ SW19 for the last 3 straight years?

My prediction is already coming to pass.

I made it before the draw came out - and lo! The draw comes out and Murray has the hardest one.

Murray has Davy, Karlovic, Dimitrov, Anderson, RANOIC, Querrey, Cilic, DELPO in his quarter. All the big servers that did well in Queen's (Anderson, Querrey, Cilic) and two potential rising stars (Dimitrov, Raonic). Let's say he gets luck all the way through, you still got Delpo as your insurance bet. Would be actually surprised if Murray can make the semis. But then again who cares because he's gonna be blasted off the court by Rafa.

Lucky win by Murray today - one felt that if Davy won the 3rd set he would have gone on to win in 5 comfortably.

Besides, Davy was playing terribly, making Mugray look good, he will burn as soon as he faces someone with a decent serve and a decent return.

I haven't even mentioned Raonic (because of course Murray will bow out before he gets that fa) - but Raonic is an insurmountable object on grass for one with such limited potential as Murray.
