Like asking someone to lob dr. Ivo or ask gonzo to push his forehand.

Mikeler,

Are you coming down for the federer less Sony open? Seems like a couple posters are coming.

I really would like to see Fed in person before he hangs up the sticks but Miami is not on his schedule this year. So I'm leaning against it but who knows.

Not true. The time you saw me, it was me vs Auzzie @ Lake Newport. I believe your comment was "just watched a David Ferrer clone playing a David Ferrer clone wishing he was Rafter"...

Can you elaborate on the Rafter comment?

Search is your friend...

Here's Sup's play-by-play of the afore mentioned match:

I remember now. Was a brutal match of wits, sweat, tears and more important my small cooler filled with beer. Post 21414 was my recap.

Scrolling down I noticed jrk post about meeting up to show him the kick serve. To this day that feels like the only person to shot I couldn't teach. Fail on my part.

I'm reading up on usta nationals. May 6-12. Atlanta men's clay national 40. Mclovin interested? Bolovian necktie? Tennismonkey? Someone be my doubles partner! I need a goal in 2013 instead of bar hoping and beach activities. Moz!!!!

Also let me drop some knowledge on you dudes.

If for some reason your back kinds hurts out of nowhere and you pee looksl like yuengling lager. Dont worry about holding for the first of the year so you dont have to pay 2 insurance deductables just go to the dang doctor.

Mu issues in begining of december. Doc gave some vicodins and kuscle relaxers and said if the urine was still dark in a few days to see a urologists. I figured I could tough it out till the new year as I hadnt been to the doc yet in 2012 and didnt want to waste my health savings account by splitting office vists between years. Was felling pretty crappy all through Xmas while still peeing lager.

Had to work newyears eve, I had every intention of going to patient first on new years becuase I knew i had some issue with my kidney or somehting (i mean i was peeing Lager for three weeks). Worked no problem, ate lunch (leftover turkey Breast and stuffing) no problem. About 1430 i went into bathroom and puked my guts out. Then this crazy pain came, more painful than any pain of all times. Called my boss told him i had to go to hospital, locked up and everything. Drove home (puked on the way). Called ambulance made it ER where they put me in whell chair and made me wait in the waiting room for an hour. Another hour later I finally gotr some pain medicine. about 4 AM they admitted into hospital. 8 days leater Im out. I had Gullstones thatwere blocking bile ducts and not letting anythign work. I had severe pancreatitis that had me in the hospital for 8 freaking days. Still waiting for lipase levels to drop lowenough so the can remove my gallbladder.

So if your pee looks like lager for more than a day go see the doc.

dang hollywood.. so sorry to hear about your health problems! geez, sounds like you almost waited too long. glad you are getting it taken care of now!

p.s. - i just peed some serious lager colored pee before reading this... hrmm.. i think it is just my normal "on the brink of serious dehydration" that i suffer from but i guess i shouldn't take it lightly! (probably TMI for the TT boards but it was weird timing)

maybe your gallbladder was just blocked up with J.O.?????
stupid gallbladder! i think i successfully removed one from a frog once in biology. so, if you want me to do it.. i hardly cost nuthin!

heal up bro! guess the kick serve practice will have to wait!

get better soon HW. after ur operation, we will look forward to ur 140+ MPH serves again.

my friend's mom just had her gall stones taken out as well, before she did, she had her blood tested for cancer. doc said its a good precautionary bcz if the stone contains any cancerous cells, u don't want to get it broken up before it leaves the body or else it will spread faster.

Ouch, HW. Literally. Gallbladder issues are no fun. Hell, anything south of the belly-button/beebo is no fun. Prostrates, Uteruses ...all those gender-parts cause all kinds of havoc, working or not.

Hydrate up, rest up. Recuperate.

HW, tough deal on the gall bladder. I don't have mine anymore. Lots of women don't. Take that as you will...women (especially pregnant ones) are more disposed. You're young...plenty of time to make healthier lifestyle choices.

Blocking of the ducts from your liver is no laughing matter though. I'm glad they caught it early. And yeah, the pain is like no other. Its good you went to the doctor and didn't just ignore it.

When is the sucker coming out? Open? Or lap? Mine was lap, and it took longer to recover from that than it did my open appendectomy. Hell, have them take that out too while you're at it...life is better with fewer spare parts!

Again, on a more serious note...it took me a good few months for things to work normally again. The gall bladder is the reservoir for bile, and without it, bile is just free-floating through your GI system. No harm, no foul, but it takes awhile for your body to adjust.

Lesson for the TWMAC kids...pay attention to what comes out of your body, it can tell you lots of things!

Well even though my game parts of my game were awesome with vcore89 i am over it. Sort of hard to tell if i should make such a drastic switch when i never played anybody over 2.0.
Also selling my ig speeds even though they were great for pegging 1st serves at sappy and 2nd serves at coolblue! I just wanted a more solid feel and slightly more power so the search goes on.
I think i could krush ALL with blxpro but i was quickly reminded in my wrist and elbow about how.stiff those suckers are. So i might jist use them but need softer poly if im gonna be able to use them.
Anybody that uses pure.drive or clone have poly suggestion? I wish.i could use hybrid but it just isnt as spin lethal. Black code 17 has been killin my arm although it is VERY d aold and dead string.

I think the plan is for lap surgery. Which I hope they do. At the moment my Lipase levels are too high for them to operate. Waiting the results from some blood work friday to see if they came back down in the normal range.

GI Surgeon said normal Lipase is like 5-50 units per liter and mine peaked at 30,000. Pain was unbearable. I would thank the the guy that invented dilaudid if he were still alive. Mom said she was reading and people saying they were at like 2000 and in pain. Mine was at 2000 when they let me out of the hospital. part of the reason I was on liquid diet for the past 5 days. Finally started eating regular food yesterday.

They have these hospitalits who are just doctors that see admitted paitients. Pretty much all the doc did was walk in ask how I was doing tell me stuff the contradicted the specilists adn billed me 100 bucks for 5 minutes. Insurance rate was like 63 bucks. But still. I should have gotten good at lacrosse and went to johns hopkins on scholarship.

My wife had her gall bladder removed way back when, before they invented the suction technique. Full incision, long recovery. She told me the pain was like trying to pass a kidney stone, which I always thought was the most pain men could experience. Glad you got it checked, and hope everything comes out okay.

On a tennis note, I finally achieved the ultimate NTRP rating. I was trying to register a couple of teams for the upcoming season (a 40+ team so I can play singles and a 55+ team so I can have conversations with people who actually remember the 1960s), and when I got everything done and hit the "register team" button, TennisLink told me I had to self rate. Checked out my USTA number and my name, and I am listed as a 0.0. Ha. USTA finally got it right. If they really let me self-rate, I might try 3.0 for a while.

How 'bout them Ravens? May see an all Harbaugh SB.

xis -- i think you just rolled the usta odometer. after you go past 9.9 ntrp -- you get back to 0.0. you probably got a few extra points on top of your 4.0 rating for veteran's preference.

paulman -- lets get a senior league twmac hit on. you've got mail mofo.

now that hw and topaz have grossed us all out. what's for lunch?

If they remember the 1960s, are they worth talking to in the first place? Wasn't everyone who was "cool" pretty much stoned the whole decade?

You would be surprised how much some of us remember from those "stoner" years. Me, I couldn't afford weed or other chemicals so I tripped on the cheapest beer available, usually Falstaff or Pabst Blue Ribbon, AKA FBF (Freshman's Best Friend).

And I always thought I was pretty cool, if a bit strangled in angst. :)

Still have my very first "good" tennis racquet from those days - a Davis Imperial Deluxe. Still beautiful after all these years, kinda like me. ;)

The intention wasnt to humblebrag. I think becuase of my levels it just freaked the docs out. I know the last three days i was in the hospital i wasnt in very much pain, but my levels were rising again as a result of the ERCP and they wanted to keep an eye on me.

Speaking of cheap beer. Has anyone checked out Bohemian Best? I am still a fan of Pabst.
Surprise no one mentioned Natural's Best? or AKA Beast back in the college days? I can't believe my eyes when they started marketing it as Beast.

Had an argument with my dad last night about which is healthier? Beer or Soda. Any thoughts?

Without looking up any stats, I'd say beer is healthier given that is has no sugar, or at least has way less than regular soda.

Anybody ever try Genny 'Screamers?

Hw,

The good news is that the most peeps say you'll lose some weight after surgery as well.

Internet search says the the sucker weights around 2.3oz. Maybe Paulman can tell you what your body balance will be and your new swing speed. Lol.

Get better buddy!

Hey downs/Topaz, have you determined your schedule this weekend? What matches/days are you playing? Where are you staying?

I've got two on Friday (12:30 & 5), then one on Saturday (5), and then I'm done, barring injury/sickness/hangover to one of the other 4.5s.

I havent got on a scale but I think ive lost at least 15lbs from not being able to eat for 2 weeks. So another 2.3 oz would be welcome.

Im taking this as a sign its time for me to get drop some weight.

I told my buddy I bowl with if I get down to 225 ill average 225. Since I only average 195 now thats asking alot. But it can olny help with balance and stuff. Also If I got down to 225 I would be a monster on the tennis court. My scamperabilty would be off the charts. Then I may actually be a legit 4.0 player and not a 3.0 with a 5.0 serve and 4.5 forehand.

Here's my diet so far: (4 meals)

I am on a 6oz (2% fat) cottage cheese and a slice of toast breakfast.
Lunch is just soup from the mess hall.
2pm snack is usually a small salad with croutons and peas.
Dinner is just a bowl of rice and alittle meat.

And drink warm water. Notice I said warm water. Seems like it keeps the stomach full.
This is only my 2nd day. But so far so good. =)

checked out bistro cacao and was pleasantly surprised. the decore was romantic and the food surprising good considering it's tourist heavy location.

side track.. make it romantic in here.

we hit their $5 happy hour at the wine bar and carried our drinks to the table. for food, thumber got the seafood bouillabaisse while i got the seared scallop over mushroom risotto. overall food quality was very good. the scallop were huge and they weren't stingy on the lobster either. overall i'd give it a solid 4 out of a yelp 5..

woot carry on.

Quick tale on Sunday night's Chinese Delivery.

I tell hubs I want something special. I select beef w/snow peas but only if they can make it spicy. I leave the actual ordering for him whilst I get the kiddies bathed and in-bed.

He says, the place will make it spicy...but they're not sure. Will send extra "hot" sauce.

Food arrives, timely and still warm. But sooooo not "hot." Even the "extra" sauce had barely any kick. Had to pull out a sauce from the fridge.

Will say, though, the meat was tender and snow peas were cooked to perfection. Just a shame that so many of the Asian eateries around here have dumbed-down to a dull American palate.

What's for lunch, peeps?

I'm having said left-overs for a large, late-morning snack before playing in a new 12n in-house club league.

sappy and i had lunch last week at a thai place. we order thai floating market noodle soup. i ask for medium level of spiciness. at the table next to us are two older pale skinned ladies. they also order a dish medium spicy.

our soup arrives and it's so spicy sap can only eat a few bites. i ate the whole bowl of soup and i paid for it all weekend. a lot of sitting on the throne followed by a shower followed by diaper rash cream.

the ladies next to us - "oh isn't this a treat betty? quite a lovely dish gertie." okay fine i don't know their names. but it's a close approximation. and that's how two mediums don't make a wong.

i have no idea what my point is.

I HAVE AN IDEA THOUGH!!

let's do a TWMAC team weight loss. we all put in our starting weight as of today. and in 2 months we add up how much weight we lost as a team. i have no idea what we get as a prize though.
