In the middle of the 5th set ******** will return at 3-4 on his serve, giving Tomic the chance to serve for it. Seriously, the only worthwhile criterion for Federer's taste is the way he plays tennis.

Ha! Tomic did next to nothing with his service return for the entire time I watched his match yesterday. Federer won't let him get away with bunting paceless balls onto the service line. Fed in three, and I can't wait to see it.

Sigh. This may sound condescending, but trust me, it's not. Let me educate you, because you're clearly not up to speed with this after so many years of watching tennis.
(1) Most of the time, the player does not come up with those fashion accessories. The company, in this case, Nike, does.
(2) All of the time, the player does not care about the kind of reaction. The company, in this case, Nike, does.
On TV they show players working together with the company's fashion designers. They show people talking about their fashion. Maybe, this misleads you, I'm not sure. It is usually a sham, just more publicity. They say it and they forget about it. You should, too.

The funny thing is that the media recognizes exactly what they have to say in order to attract viewers. Any viewer will do, so they (consciously or not) pander to the lowest common denominator. ESPN showed this video highlight reel of Federer v. Davy. It ran for a measly 43 seconds, and the first 20 or so seconds, the dumbasses were talking about his attire.
What can I say, they know their audience. :neutral:

Nuffin' much, my dad has Alzheimer's, so I spend most time looking after him.
Anyway, I actually like that Tomic kid, didn't say anything out of line, if yer ask me, just sad that they are meeting early. I wish Davy hadn't met Ro- ..er.. Sexi so early. Would have liked to see Davy go deeper into the draw.
