Need Tennis Bag advice.

I have a AeroPro 12 pack (circa 2nd gen) right now. It's a great bag and still holding up. However, when trying to put more than 1 racquet in each compartment, I have to take out all the racquet and put it all at once in order to avoid scratching it. Question is are there any other larger bags that let's me store and take out racquets more easily? Currently, I am just putting one racquet in each compartment to avoid scratching either other.

That shouldn't be an issue with the 3 racket policy in the CB house hold - right?

Is scratching in the bag that much of an issue. I know I do more damage on the court rather than taking it in and out of the bag. LOL!

What's up TWMAC? Did I miss anything?

Back from the DR for a wedding. Traveled with the whole fam. The twins did surprisingly well, as they didn't cry much, but holding a wiggly 1 year old for about a 3 hour flight is not my idea of a good start/end of a relaxing vacation.

In fact I think we spent more time feeding and bathing the kids than we spent at pool side.

Still nice to get away for a bit.

DR was okay. I like Cancun and the Bahamas better. They did have clay courts on the resort but I still have a busted wheel. Tweaked my calf dancing at the wedding - ouch!

Problem solved. Put Each racket in Plastic bag like the pros do and seal it with rubber band like the pros do.

One other question is these babolat guys make the New aeroprobags with only ONE thermal protection compartment. I hate that. it used to have 2 thermal compartments

@JRStriker: Going to have a fire sale pretty soon on my BB NYC's. But currently I have 5 racquets. I have been told that I am probation until I sell 2 racquets. Probably keeping one.

@Nostradamus: thx for the advice on plastic bag protection but it'll be more of a hassle to put racquets in a plastic bag then putting it in the bag. I was thinking about putting two racquet in the bag and carrying two racquets by hand.

Your mistake was not stopping for a Primanti Bros sandwich...

Primanti's is good. But I couldn't stand the bread. It's basic Italian Fluffy Bread. Their fries are good and so is that slaw they put there.

There was a diner near that Primanti's (original one in the Wholesale Grocery District) which has the best blueberry pancakes.

I was going to say Meat Packing District, I knew I was going to get giggles from half of twmac folks here.

cb --

1 -- wrap each racquet in one of those old school single racquet covers.

2 -- wrap each racquet in those newfangled cloth racquet covers like you get with some tecnifibre and yonex sticks.

3 -- if 5 racquets in a 12 pack bag is not enuff room for your sticks not to touch and get all scuffed up. get a larger bag.

Baby backs don't need to spend 12 hrs in a smoker to cook at what the article said she cooked in the oven at 325F.

I did 6 baby rack ribs over the 4th weekend on my smoker at 300-325F for about 3 hours and they were perfectly smoky and tender. Also did 2 pork shoulders for pulled pork at the same time - that took a lil longer though. haha

wow.. pretty quiet here for the past couple of days.

Did Sap make a encore visit to Kabob Palace? Just like last year during Ramadan? I remembered the comment he made about feeling just like being in the return line at Ikea.

I'm less concerned about that than the fallout from the Zimmerman trial 1 county over. Either way it goes, I am expecting trouble.

if he's found innocent, i'm expecting lots of rioting and looting and destruction of property.

if he's found guilty, i'm expecting lots of rioting and looting and destruction of property.

there are times that i wish that florida was also on a fault line and in danger of falling into the ocean.

please, not before my kids reaches 10 yrs old. The thought of Mickey Mouse swimming will be too tragic.

what's the deal with the mannequin?

Who knows, maybe people will take the high road but I doubt it.

Mounting mannequins make court cases more interesting.

I've been exploring the fine eateries near the White House around G street. Plenty to pick from. The Lamb Piadine at breadline is tasty! G-Street Food's Spanish Omelet is really good too. Just saw the Wicked Waffles near 17th street. I"m in trouble!

No tennis with a busted wheel. Plus with the wife's new job taking her to Richmond very often, I'm doubting I'm getting out on a weekday to hit any time soon. I did hit the gym yesterday and I'm really sore.

CB, we'll have to line up some lunch next week - we'll have to invite PaulMan.

Just got back from 10 days in Hawaii (Oahu). I was there for a family reunion/wedding (sister).

Flights were long but the kids did fine, baby slept most of the time and the 3 yr old watched movies on the iPad. $1,200 a ticket x 4 tickets was a pain though. Back in the day that kind of money would let you fly first class.

Weather was great the entire time, high of 86 low of 73 with nice trade winds the entire time. Made me forget the reason I moved here. Food was great... I almost forgot how unhealthy the food was. Got a loco moco the first day and almost died.

When I was in the DR, I had to wonder why more places with great job markets aren't in tropical paradises?

Did a Hawaiian cruise over a decade ago and got to see all 4 islands. The most incredible place I've visited so far...

Sure, just let me know. I went on a walk around Metro Center and saw that line of food trucks again. I saw a sawama truck. One of my "must-visit," trucks.

Nice! We went there for our Honeymoon. I remember the Dole Pineapple Farm Maze, Ramen Places, and BY Hawaiian Cultural Center (for my 1st Luau). My fav eating spots was the North Beach Fresh Shrimp stands and L&L BBQ Fast Food Place.

I heard of plenty of online gambling places located in DR. Bet they are in need of IT folks there. =)

tennismonkey and hollywood know about L&L's. My brother was telling me that they have one in NYC and I asked him if people order the Loco Moco and he told me that people aren't that adventurous and only order the teriyaki chicken.

I would've thought all the hipsters would dig the loco moco.

I love L&L's. Their combo meals are so big that I have to stand on the box in order to shut it. Also, when I ordered vegetables as sides, they only give me 2 broc sticks and a piece of carrot and the rest is bbq chicken, and pork w/ rice. I can't imagine how much sugar is in that meal.

Wanted to make my PK15 match my Q15. So sad, I have to resort to using duct tape to put on the head to slightly increase it's swingweight. Lead weighs too much and is not distributed enough. Now my Q15 looks like it came from an episode of MacGyver.

I got loco moco once. Sat in chair at work for therest of the day. After that just got Chicken Katsu.

The got them in Reno and Vegas and up and down the west coast. Maybe Ill try to open one up in Havre de Grace.

My Firnd told me Big Kahuna Pizza moved down off of Kam Highway by the airport and sucks now. That place was great I think it was off of pualoa road. garlic Cheese balls and teriyaki chicken pizza (I think it was called the banzai). Not to mention those pipeline snadwiches.

There was alot of good places to eat out there for sure. Between Zippys, The Shack, Big Kahuna, and LandL you never ran out of non mainland options.

Queston on the 10 pt tiebreak.

Played yesterday in 9.0 mixed. The guy on the other side was a 5.0. Scoreline was 2-6, 6-1, then we lost in the tiebreak.

So here is my question. How does the 10 pt tiebreak work? I didn't know and counted on my partner and the other team.

My partner (a grandmother who played very well) said that serve positions continue from the second set. So she started the tiebreak. So the other guy started their serve right after (out of order). Served a double fault. Then she said "Wait.. the girl is suppose to serve". They said the tiebreak is like a new set. So what does my partner do.. gives the guy 2 new serves ... which he uses to ace her.

My 3.0 18+ team ended up getting wild card to districts after the first team to get it couldn't field a team. We ended up winning the tournament. I only played the last day and got spanked in singles after returning from a 10 day no tennis vacation, but at least I lost to their best guy! On to sectionals!

Striker and CB, Ill be back to work starting tomorrow. We need to work on lunch and/or some lunchtime tennis!

In addition to your partner being wrong on the rules of the 10-pt TB, she was also wrong in allowing two serves even if she was right. It clearly states in the rules that, and I quote "all points played in good faith stand".

So, even if he had served out of turn, the point would have counted and the order fixed on the next point. Now, if he had served both points, and then you realized the mistake, the serving order would have stayed as they started (e.g., mixed up).
