Racquets You have never tried but would like to?

G.O.A.T.
here is my current list of racquets I am curious about, but have not extensively tested or not played with at all.
the bolded ones are the one's I am MOST curious about.

Organix 10-295 (thin beam may be too low powered for me)
PK KiQ5 (specs look interesting...hope you don't notice the beads inside)
Head Graphene MP & Pro (not out yet)
Head Graphene Radical S (look like a great platform for adding weight)
Graphene Instinct MP (may be too stiff for touch/feel shots)
Graphene Speed MP (may not have enough power)
Dunlop M 4.0 (not out yet - specs look nice. Got to try demo briefly)
Donnay Formula 100 (played with this one for a week or so. forgot why I moved on?)
Gamma Rzr 98 (TW playtesters hated it)
Slazenger V98 Team (specs look great - paintjob is very plain)
Solinco Protocol 300 - seems to have my ideal specs. Hard to find out anything on this one.
Yonex Ezone Xi 100 (square headshape may bother me - very thick beam too)

My ideal specs are:
Around 11 oz static weight
315-325 sw
16x19, 16x20, 18x19
beam 22-24
flex: 65
power: medium-high

I like easy power, but with a little flex for touch/feel. I play an all around game and am not heavily reliant on topspin. Hit flatter groundies and lots of slices, droppers and volleys.

Jack, Out of this list.. try the Yonex Ezone Xi 100
its a nice one if you can get over the fatness of the beam..

yes, I was disappointed that the newer VCore Xi 100 was so high in stiffness.
how about the hoop shape? did the boxy hoop throw you?

Vcore 100 was not good.
They play nothing alike...
It didnt bother me.. just have to get used to it as its a tad on the thick side..
It has a decent feel to it and hits a nice solid ball.
Not overpowered like the PD, yet not underpower either. Its a good combination.

I shouldn't want to try any new rackets. I used to play better BEFORE I started buying and trying new frames! I must be addicted to demoing rackets. For the sake of this thread, I would like to try the new Prince frames with the open string pattern...

I was disappointed that all the "non" spin models come out after these. I really have no interest in these wide open patterns, since it doesn't fit my game and playstyle. IMO, Wilson has the market on these and Prince, who used to be an innovator, is playing copy/catch up here.

I love my customized APD racquets, but now that I know the specs that I like are a much higher static weight and headlight than the stock APD, so there are some racquets that have peaked my interest if I ever try another racquet.

Head Graphene Prestige Pro (when it comes out)
Head Extreme Pro 2.0
Wilson Six.one 95s and 95 16x18
Yonex VCore Tour 97 330 gram
Tecnifibre TFight TP ATP
Wilson Pro Staff 90 (just to try out the racquet fed uses the paintjob of)

I agree that Prince is playing catch up, but not that they are copying. They had juniors playing with the 16x16 Tour 100 and it was discussed here almost a year and a half ago, well before I saw anything mentioned here about Wilson's S technology. They just screwed up by not releasing it last fall as they had planned.

I am demoing a 100T ESP and am surprised how much I am enjoying it. I mostly play with either 12.5 oz mids or my 18x20 Tour 100 with lead.

My list:
PK Redondo MP
PK Ki5
Wilson 6.1 95S
Prince Tour 98 ESP
Prince Graphite Longbody
Dunlop Biomimetic Max 200G

Some of the Estusa racquets (I've heard plenty about them, but haven't actually been able to get my hands on one), any of the spin effect racquets just to see what the difference would be (I hit pretty flat though, so it's honestly not for me), and the V-core 89 tour 89.

MG Radical MP

Just picked one up mint cheap and just finished setting it up to my playing specs....looking forward to having a hit this w/e.

Excited to add it to my 18x20 collection! Sell off of pretty much everything other than Head frames is imminent...

FYI - I addded some comments to each in my list

Not sure any of these would prove to be better than my current V1 MP?

new prince response (always played modded tt warriors, and love of rafter)

diablo mid (felt it may be a hidden gem for baseline counter-punching)

biomimetic 200plus (hope it's somewhat similar to flexpoint instinct which i love)

youtek graphene radical pro (i actually have no reason other then it's different)

biomimetic max 200g (loved the maxply 98 but hated all other dunlop 98's)

gamma rzr 100 tour (just want to see if it's a monster on groundstrokes)

Great racquet. If I am playing well I love it. I'm not quite good enough to wield it on an off day. My debate has been whether I should keep playing it and just get better, or choose a more skill level-appropriate frame.

what strings are you using in the diablo mids ? i was thinking a firm synthetic or multi with the mid heads. i use copoly hybrids in midplus ones. and kevlar hybrids in oversize. i use stiffer strings when i use larger headsizes. never realized that until now.

I'm more than content with what I'm currently using but i wanna try all these "spin" rackets coming out. Especially the Wilson 95s and the Prince tour 98 16x16

I've been with the 99S for the better part of 6 months now, but I really am interested in some of those princes with the ESP. I absolutely love the EX03 Tour, so I'd probably want to try that one.

My favorite fresh job is BHB7 16 @ 45. BHB7 is a springy poly with good power and a bunch of spin. It looses it's magic after about the third outing for me. If I felt like stringing weekly I would probably buy a reel and just use this.

I've been trying different combos to get away from full poly, but if I have a frame with full poly and something else in the other two I usually end up grabbing the one with poly. Temps are dropping so I should string one with syn gut to have on the days it is to cold to play with poly. Forten 17 is nice, but doesn't last long.

I didn't take notes for quite a while, so just with recent string jobs I have this written down:

Forten Sweet 17@53 - Quite comfortable. Enjoy hitting with it. Spin is pretty average, but enough. They move everywhere after about 4 hrs and need to be cut.

Iontec Black 1.20@45 - Really liked this. Spin wasn't quite as high as some other polys, but it had lots of power and was quite comfortable. Stayed straight for most of it's life. Was fairly worn through at around 10 hrs.

Tough Gut/Savage Black @55/53 - good comfort. A hair muted. Lasts quite well. Could use more power - 51/48 next time?

BHSR16/Forten 16 47/51- Forten is a bit sticky. Plays soft. Spin is good, not spectacular. BHSR is at too muted in this frame.

BHB7 16 @ 45 - Spectacular for the first couple hours. Amazing first hit. After a couple of sessions it is just ok.

BHBR 16 @ 45 - Not as good as BHB7 for the first hours, then better just because it stays more consistent.

Premier Attack 17 @ 55 - Not a fan. Just can't seem to find a groove with it.

Off the top of my head I have also used :Gamma ZO Verve, OGSM 17, Revelation 16, BHBR 17, and probably a few others. I have some Iontec Black 1.20 that I will revisit, as well as Iontec Black Hexa 1.20, and I need to buy some more Pro Line X 17 to try in this frame @ 43ish.

Prince Tour 100T ESP

Yes, I'd like to try all of those, but I know that isn't going to happen. At some point, I will likely demo a few just for the heck of it though. Really want to try the new 6.1 95S after the great feedback from the playtesters.

@MikeHitsHard93 I am suprised by looking at your list to see the graph radical MP there instead of the pro. Could you elaborate on that choice? I am thinking about getting the MP or the pro but going towards the pro because of the little more weight and better plow through (i heard).

I use the Graphene Instinct MP, not as stiff as rated IMO.

Nice power stick with control when strung with a decent poly

I'm inclined to stay away from the pro because of its stiffness. The mp has a stiffness in the mid sixties which is ideal for me. That being said, I would need to add weight to the mp to get it where I like!

Got to try one on my list tonite...the G Speed MP.
Was pretty impressed. Nice solid feeling racquet with a
perfect blend of power and control. Good all around the court...baseline groundies and up at the net. You can swing out pretty agressively without fear of hitting long. I cannot be as lazy as I can with my V1, but that's not a bad thing really. Also the sweet spot is slightly smaller and I did have a few "deadspot" misses, but overall it's only a little demanding. Nice middle ground between player and tweener racquet. With full multi this one would be fairly powerful, and with full poly it will provide lots of spin and control. I opted for a multi/poly hybrid at 54/51. Racquet plays similar to the Dunlop M 3.0 but with a bit more pop and spin.

I'd like to try one of the Bastcore frames that came out a couple of years back.

A Lacoste Equijet is also very high on my list of 'want to's' but I doubt I'll ever get the chance.

just to update my initial post:

Organix 10-295 (thin beam may be too low powered for me) - still haven't tried.
PK KiQ5 (specs look interesting...hope you don't notice the beads inside)- tried it. You don't notice the beads at all. Didn't care for the way the ball felt off the stringbed.
Head Graphene MP & Pro (not out yet) - tried both. Pro too heavy for me and felt real stiff. Liked the MP but it has a small sweetspot that really penalizes you when you miss.
Head Graphene Radical S (look like a great platform for adding weight) - cant find a demo anywhere
Graphene Instinct MP (may be too stiff for touch/feel shots) - gave up on this one. Much prefer the Speed to this.
Graphene Speed MP (may not have enough power) - current racquet of choice. Love it!
Dunlop M 4.0 (not out yet - specs look nice. Got to try demo briefly) - coming out Jan 1. Will check it out. Played briefly with a demo and liked it a lot.
Donnay Formula 100 (played with this one for a week or so. forgot why I moved on?) - have one now to playtest. Will try soon.
Gamma Rzr 98 (TW playtesters hated it) - not pursuing
Slazenger V98 Team (specs look great - paintjob is very plain) - not interested in this one anymore
Solinco Protocol 300 - seems to have my ideal specs. Hard to find out anything on this one. - still haven't tried
Yonex Ezone Xi 100 (square headshape may bother me - very thick beam too) - more interested now in the rounder AI 98.

hi Jack.

I have a list of say 3 rackets:

Prostaff 6.0 85
Prince Diablo mid
and one of the blades with the spin effect if they have it in a 90-95sq frame.

The diablo is really close to my POG, so I dont see the point. And the spin effects might not be for me anyhow, though I played great with my diy spin effect pog.

Thanks to you I ordered the prostaff!!!

I think I am going to like the small head size!

I was able to try 4 from my list.. I did not like my initial hit with the 6.1 95 16x18, the extreme pro 2.0, and the pro staff 90.

However I loved the Yonex vcore tour 97 330 gram racquet. I am seriously considering switching to this frame from my customized APD
