Good thing that Federer got through, but I really didn't like the way he won the match. Players like Gasquet will hand him the unforced error on BP eventually, but guys like Djokovic and Nadal won't be generous. I really wanted Federer to take that game from Gasquet on his own terms.

Yeah but Gasquest is lafruitcake, Delpo is tired and lord egg has eggs.

Stan and Nadal would of been too much for him me thinks.

I dont know man, Gasquet beat Nadal when he was 14. He knows how to get it done against him!

I agree with this to a degree. However, I am glad he is having confidence rather than health issues.

I think rog handled him pretty good today. Last service game was not good on those match points, you have to close it out earlier when you get that many chances.

But Overall a good performance and he is making his way back to the top.

lol wut

what sort of animal is this meant to be ? ..:)

an overweight Aardvark like in the 1980s Pink Panther cartoons ?.

Oh my god, how can you not know Pokemon?? Snorlax is the fat pokemon who's always sleeping or eating and usually blocks the road because he falls asleep right on the road and it's practically impossible to wake him up.

You are out of luck then, cause I don't think we'll ever get a perfrmance where Fed demolishes an opponent unless its a really low ranked player. Djoko/Nadal/Murray/Delpo/Tsonga/Berdych? No way, not anymore. Fed will be lucky to beat any of these six in the coming future.

I dunno Magnus.

Nadal and Djoko I pretty much agree with ..... but I'm not quite ready to pull the plug on Fed not being able to hang with Murray as well as beat Tsonga and Berdych. jmho.

OK so I am right to say Roger is guaranteed 2nd in the group ranking after today? (I know things can change on Saturday)

I'm not ready to pull that plug either. Federer's last 2 matches with Delpo he has a win and a loss, and initially in Basel, running low on confidence he took a high on confidence Delpo very close, and Delpo is better than either Tsonga or Berdych. He will lose more sure, but I don't think he'll need to get "lucky" to beat them. And Murray? Well, we'll see where he is after back surgery.
