What was the last movie you watched?

Bethlehem

Tense drama about an Israeli agent and his Palestinian recruit. Directed by an Israeli, it typifies the current view of the Israeli left which is very sympathetic to the Palestinian view. Well made.

Nothing about the last movie I watched BUT I am actually looking forward to seeing 3 Days To Kill (Kevin Costner), hope it won't disappoint.

I LOVEEEEE the Justice League animation series. Binge watched all seasons within 2 weeks. Then, saw Justice League War the other night... Totally disappointed. All the characters in War are out of wack. Even Superman drawing is wrong, ie bulky, no neck. :(

Saw Redford's movie, about him alone on a boat that got hit by a container floating at sea.
I was quicker in EVERY reaction than him, and knew some things he didn't...like stay spread eagled tying yourself IN at the bottom of your rescure raft, knew how to get water from the ocean enviorment, and how to really patch the hole so it wouldn't get worse.
He was kinda slow thinking, very uneducated in boating skills.

It had it's flaws and it didn't develop all the characters right, plus it was a cliche style movie. But I still really enjoyed wolf of wall street a lot.

Same here, I thought it was better than the first. I have not read any of the books unlike Game of Thrones and I’m finding I kinda like being surprised by how the story is unfolding. However it is so hard not reading the books.

i am just saying the conclusion of Mockingjay is that Katniss is hunting somebody. this is per Holliwood insider. but we dont' know who she is hunting......
I got my idea from the Book not the movie. in the book, Katniss shoots the president with arrow in the execution. but Movie will probably do something different.

I just Can't wait til Mockingjay comes out. I love Katness

I looked forward to this for a long time. Finally sat down and watched it, pretty disappointed over all. Mediocre and uncomfortable at times. The movie did have some really good scenes, though over all, not my favorite.

Finally saw Gravity on my laptop.

The views of the Earth were stunning.

"I hate space". Lol.
Was it still a good experience on a laptop? Have you by any chance seen 2001:A Space Odyssey? I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would and I think the reason could be because it would be much better on a movie screen.

Last film I watched was 500 Days Of Summer. Was a really great film, loved it.

I have not seen Gravity on 3D so i cannot really judge. Story-wise it was a bit lame. I would much prefer Europa Report that had scientists with a scientific bent of mind.

Grav was full of silly stories, and people reminiscing their families. I guess that's what happens when you put big stars in a sci-fi movie.

In Europa Report, the scientist were willing to give their lives for the sake of science, for the sake of knowledge. That's the kind of sci-fi movie i can relate to, not the kind where some construction worker is picked up from nowhere and sent to blast some rocks in outer space (along with some criminals and guys on parole) and all he (they) wants is to live tax-free all his life (reference to Deep Impact or Armageddon, LOL).

But I guess Gravity was made more for the masses. There are stories i have read long back that actually treat this issue of zero grav.

In one book, there is a story within the story, about people working in zero grav environments high up, fixing machines, they come down to earth and often forget they are subject to grav. There was one such reported fatality of an engineer who just walked off a window or balcony or parapet. It could be been one of the 2001 sequels which has this story as a piece of history.

i saw enders game-the movie itself follows the book plot and is interesting to watch. However the movie just doesn't generate the electric and entertaining mood the book does.

In my opinion Gravity is nothing like Europa Report. Gravity did everything better but Europa Report is the real deal.

Watched Non-Stop, the movie is in-line with other recent Liam Neeson movies such as: Unknown and Taken 2.

Star Trek III: Search for Spock.

I forgot how poor this movie really was but it was funny to see Christopher Lloyd as a Klingon. I'd forgotten he was in this film just before he started his famous run as Doc in the Back to the Future series.

ST3 is a bad a-- film. Grim as f---.

I've been indulging in dark comedies myself: the much maligned and generally ignored 'young adult' in particular, and the wonky american near classic, the departed.

Guys, can anyone suggest me a movie similar to The Prestige? I mean Thriller/Mystery, with a great surprise ending. Something along those lines.

The similar movies which i've watched are - The Illusionist, Shutter island, K-Pax, Butterfly effect, The man from Earth, to name a few.

Phew ! Just saw this 2:41 movie The Desolation of Smaug.

Too much fighting. I've seen enough fighting in a zillion other movies to see more. As an LOTR fan, and having read The Hobbit ten years back, I am rather disappointed.

However, i did like the dragon.

You might have seen Dial M for Murder. The later adaptation, The Perfect Murder, with Douglas and Zeta Jones has some twists and surprises.

Yes,I enjoyed both versions. 2 other obvious ones are Seven and The Usual Suspects both from 1995,but they've probably seen those...

I'm watching American Pie (1999) probably for the first time in about 10 years. Pretty shallow stuff, but a bit of lighthearted fun

I had never even heard of this movie. I checked the ratings, and it has got some rave reviews.
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll watch this one, this weekend.

Thanks Senti, for suggestions. Nope, I haven't seen either. These are pretty old films, can you suggest me newer ones, like post 2000.

I just haven't enjoyed the vintage movies as much. I saw the Hitchcock's famous Psycho after hearing so much about it. Although I loved the portrayal of Norman Bates character (awesome acting), I just didn't get that much intrigued by the film, overall. The background score and stuff from that era, doesn't excite me just as much.

Btw, did you catch Ragini MMS 2? ~baby doll main sone di

Burning Daylight (2010) which stars Robert Knepper, is a retelling of the 1914 original adaptation of Jack London's 1910 novel.

From IMDB - :

An adventurer, who goes by the nickname "Burning Daylight", strikes it rich during the Alaskan Gold Rush. After he achieves wealth and success in the Klondike, he sets out towards 'the lower 48' (the continental U.S.) to find new challenges, but his money making abilities do not prepare him for the vicious cons and manipulation of Wall Street. He is soon cheated out of his entire fortune, but the 'hero' now has learned the lessons 'of the street', and fights to become a success again, with the knowledge that it takes a scoundrel to beat a scoundrel. - Written by anonymous

The action is so cartoon-ish though: not very realistic, it's more of a CGI cartoon comic book.

The dragon is good for a few laughs as well.
