Just saw a picture of the US Open LE. Pretty sweet IMO.

btw; this is what hyper punch is. I would assume that they looked similar in color to these since they both release in Fall '14

I'm a huge fan of the Vapor 9 myself. I really love the design.
I have the Vapor 9.5, but I'm thinking about trading it for the Lunar Ballistec.
First I'll tell you my impression about the 9.5:
These shoes are _exactly_ the same as the Vapor 9, so if you love the 9, you'll love the 9.5 even more: They improved the upper and it looks like it's more durable than the Vapor 9, except for the mesh parts, which is still the same ofcourse. Aaaand, that's about it actually, since they are identical to the Vapor 9, except for a different upper, there is nothing much else to tell about the Vapor 9.5 except for the upper and the colors ..
Why I'm possibly switching to Lunar Ballistec?
I choose Vapor 9 mainly because of lightweightness, comfort, design looked classy, breathability and your feet lower to the ground. The Air Max Courtballistec was kinda the opposite: heavy, feet higher off the ground thanks to Air Max, design, etc. Of course the durability is supposed to be way better than the Vapor.
Now with the Lunar Ballistec, they have the same features as the Vapor 9(.5): Feet lower to the ground, lightweight, comfortable and I love the design (in white, not red).
What I don't know yet is: how much lower your feet are to the ground is the Lunartech compared to Zoom Air? This is an important factor, because I need to have some control on the ground with my feet, which I don't really have using Air Max.
I'm gonna find out soon enough though, since I ordered a pair of Lunar Ballistec.
Heinous looking shoes.

Nike has released some weak colorways for the debut of the 9.5. Disappointed that they didn't make a generic white colorway so we didn't have to match (well I do) our outfits to the colorway of the shoe.
You do realize that nobody matches their outfits anymore, right? Anything goes nowadays.
White sucks. It gets dirty easily and looks girly IMO.

As soon as they launch different prints on these like stripes or chequered (McEnroe style) they will get elevated to the new GOAT tennis shoe.
Coming soon...
Unfortunately it's the same pattern throughout this year...maybe next year!
Wrong. The Fall 9.5 do not have the same pattern.

Playing with this so far has made me slipped countless of times and rolled my ankle once (I have to wear ankle braces now everytime I play with them). They're light, sure, but they're extremely slippery.

If the outsole is the same as the 9 (haven't tried 9.5), then I agree it is more slippery feel that a Court Ballistec or Barricade.
If you want max grip and no slide, I'd go with CBs if you can still find them, or adidas. Air Max Cage is a good middle ground between both, IMO.

YES, I also heard this too from several other guys. They made this shoe taking into account the players will Slide. only problem is only the Pros are proficient at sliding on hard courts. Amateurs don't have the talent for that so they end up rolling the ankles instead.............. this is really sad for GOAT shoes,,,supposedly
They are a bit slippery but it's really personal preference. I like that because it's easier to slide into the ball on hard courts.
Has anyone seen the orange retail model in person?
I have, and it's pretty badass. However, I personally wouldn't spend the $ with no warranty on the shoe.
Have any pics of them? The online pics are always off color.
Colors pretty spot on, though as youncould see from Iw, the orange appears a bit softer.

again, with the lighting they look REALLY orange here, it's a bit softer in person though I won't lie, these babies grab some attention indoors this is for sure lol. The red looks much better imo, especially with white laces.
true to size?

That actually looks really good! I was thinking they were going to end up being some hideous off color shade of orange.
Same as any other nike's anyway.
