Nike has released some weak colorways for the debut of the 9.5. Disappointed that they didn't make a generic white colorway so we didn't have to match (well I do) our outfits to the colorway of the shoe.

Matchy-matchy is OUT. Tim Gunn told me that when I competed on Project Runway. As long as there are no major clashes like Bdarb's x-mas tree motif or like a black-yellow bumblebee scenario, then it's all good. I actually think if you don't match it's even more Baller cuz it's like saying "I just don't give a f---, I'll wear what I want".

Has anybody in here also worn and tried the Yonex SHT 308's or the new Yonex shoe ? I know those are also very light shoes. I was wondering how the Cushioning on the Vapors compare to Yonex SHT 308 or the new yonex shoe. Thank you

Playing with this so far has made me slipped countless of times and rolled my ankle once (I have to wear ankle braces now everytime I play with them). They're light, sure, but they're extremely slippery.
They are a bit slippery but it's really personal preference. I like that because it's easier to slide into the ball on hard courts.

If the outsole is the same as the 9 (haven't tried 9.5), then I agree it is more slippery feel that a Court Ballistec or Barricade.
If you want max grip and no slide, I'd go with CBs if you can still find them, or adidas. Air Max Cage is a good middle ground between both, IMO.

YES, I also heard this too from several other guys. They made this shoe taking into account the players will Slide. only problem is only the Pros are proficient at sliding on hard courts. Amateurs don't have the talent for that so they end up rolling the ankles instead.............. this is really sad for GOAT shoes,,,supposedly

Just dump all the Vapor 9 and 9.5 people. it is more like Ice skates than tennis shoes.
NIKE must improve the traction on these shoes on Vapor 10 or nobody will buy them
Cages were 10x worse in the slipperiness department for me. I could barely run around the court in them without slipping after about a month.

Sadly, I have to agree with you. For a rec player, there's no way I could even do what the pros can. Anyway, I was hitting with a guy this evening and he could actually slide with this shoe as if he was on clay. I have to applaud to that.

I have loved the Vapor line since the V7 (yes, I love the 7). Never have I experienced the slippery issue with CB and Barricade but I never liked them because they're too bulky.

no they are sweet, but people will definitely notice them so if you aren't looking to strike up a conversation about your shoes at the club I'd steer clear lol I like shoes like this though so it's whatever.
