Yeah, someone said instagram and twitter had blown everything up twice as big, to think you could only get 2 or 3 tweets or pictures on the massive screen is pretty funny! The Plus will probably only come into it's own when they get up to speed, hopefully it should be sorted in the next week or two.
AAAAHHHT!?!?!? Oh, it's wrong alright! How DARE they! As a current Android user, I say, we will not stand for these unethical business practices. We WILL hold them accountable!it means that no matter what Apple does, like insisting that a mobile phone should be small and then renege and produce a giant, Applebots will find no wrong.
I have found that stealing your device is an effective remedy to price sensitivity. It's all I do anymore.all the while paying whatever Apple says to pay.
I don't get angry. Only regarding my brother's iphone, because my mom ended up walking into some awful contract just to get him to shutup. I kind of just laugh at the rest of my not immediate family, because I think they all own iphones and fall under the sheeple category. Don't look into other options, just get the latest iphone that's available when their upgrade is ready. Or like when my cousin, who had gone through 2 laptops already at 15, says she wants to get a macbook because it's "better quality" and "doesn't get viruses." I explained that I've had the same notebook for about 8 years now with no virus problems (had one hardware issue but was solved through a class action suit). I showed her an Asus rog series notebook that was about 1k cheaper and better spec'd. Didn't matter.
I find that in general there's just an ignorance in people like that which I find slightly off-putting. But I also have an elitist attitude about some things.
Anyway...I've actually been looking at my own options for a new phone. Probably going to wait till Christmas time to see what comes out. I've mostly been intrigued by the HTC One, but I think both HTC and Motorola are bringing out new phones pretty soon. Either get a newer model or an older one on discount. Also, I didn't realize that Asus makes phones also, so I'm going to look into those.

No comprendo.before attempting sarcasm, how about you try and properly comprehend
What do you mean??its not Apple's behavior that is so frustrating, they're just a corporation seeking profits, its the sheep and lemmings seemingly at Apple's beck and call!
Not sure what's worse... Apple-Android fans or Rafa-Federer-Novak-... Fans.LOL. I love people who get angry over someone's cell phone brand choice. Isn't that cliche by now, or is it still a thing?
Ive ignored this poor sap for years as he is such a sad person he calls people names and gets visibly upset over a cellular device that someone else uses.
Its hilarious to see someone get this worked up over cell phones while calling people sheep. Excellent irony if you really think about it.
Poasted this on my ipad.

fyi, you can't see me
and obviously 'spell check' doesn't work on your eye-pad.

Congratulations. You have retreated yet another level, with bonus points, in TT's Race to the Bottom.
Picked up my iPhone 6 yesterday. Here's my full review:
Its a phone.
Not a phablet?
One of the first things I did with it was return a call to my boss/CEO. My first thought was "glad I didn't get the 6+, because there is no way I could hold that thing to my ear".
Now, not many people will actually use it as a traditional phone (pretty much everybody has some form of Bluetooth), but I guess I'm old that way & prefer to talk into something...
Is that why you have location as "On my iphone," to annoy this guy? Or is just the general stereotypical thing that mac people do, stressing that they're on their mac or idevice.

Yeah I switched it 2 years ago after he was harassing me and I forgot about it until you pointed it out.
I used droids for years beforehand, so I'm not loyal to one brand solution. I just prefer the Mac OS for how I work.

Interesting. I had not thought about that yet but since I don't talk on the phone excessively I don't think it will be a problem.
A lot of my friends aren't used to the I6 size yet, but I had an HTC evo that was 5.3 inches in length for 2 years so for me, it is not a big change.
Honestly still prefer the smaller phone, but the tech is going towards larger phones and it appears that the days of the small cell phones are dead.
Apple changed the game not in phone size, but in optimization for the larger phones. What I mean is they made a powerful phone with a gorgeous screen that benchmarks very well and doesn't suck battery.
My Evo was dead by 4pm everyday with moderate use and could be laggy even when rooted (with the constant optimization updates) and purged of all bloatware. My friends LG dies at around 8pm if he doesn't charge. The 6+ is lasting all the way through day 2 for the one person I know so far with one.
What does this mean for Droid? Bigger phones, better optimization and better battery life as well. I believe 2015 is going to be a great year for folks who are looking to upgrade as either platform should have an offering that delivers excellent battery life on a large screen.
Some of it is perception and frame of reference:
The mobile phone I spoke on the most (actually used as a handset rather than as a mobile computer or a speaker phone) was the Motorola Micro tac Elite. Bigger and heavier than any smartphone.
The flat, Hershey's bar shape is a factor too:
Does anyone look silly talking on a bigger and heavier home wireless phone?
In any case it's really a misnomer to call these devices "phones" or "smartphones"... They're really mobile computers with a phone feature.
I'm kind of surprised that more people don't use wireless or wired headsets and that people don't have Bluetooth systems in their cars. I think that Bluetooth is standard in Toyota cars now but I see people in high-end luxury cars driving with their phone to their ear. I don't know if their cars don't have Bluetooth, they haven't set it up or they are just used to putting it up to their ear.
It does look like the phone makers are going to make use of the extra space for extra features.
You're right in that it will take me some time to get used to the larger 4.7 inch. If they put the iPhone 6 features in the iPhone 5 and called it the iPhone 6 Minus, I would strongly consider that in two years - but I carry an iPad Mini with me if I need a bigger screen.
That's because most Bluetooth setups in cars suck. I know exactly when my wife is on the car's Bluetooth because I can barely understand her, and she has a $55K 2012 VW. Same thing for my Audi (which is NOT a top-of-the-line Audi, BTW).
Why are Chinese people buying up 40-50 Iphones at a time and taking it to china ?
I was somewhat surprised that the i6, with a not too bulky case, was bigger than my Poetic Palette wearing G2.
iOS 8.0.1 coming soon.
Heycal brought up a good point that you still can't relocate the buttons which show up at the top of the screen so you would have to do the double tap on the home button to reach them 1 handed. It might not be that big of a deal once you get into the habit of using it though.
I'm starting to think that Jobs was right on smaller phones. The iPhone 5/5S may indeed be the perfect size for maximum mobility.
What does this mean? Why do people get so passionate about a phone? For years I never understood the small cult following Apple had. Then I picked up the first iPhone.
The i6 is incredibly thin. I'm not sure what was gained by making it as such.
Interestingly enough, the G3 battery is not that great.
Yeah, someone said instagram and twitter had blown everything up twice as big, to think you could only get 2 or 3 tweets or pictures on the massive screen.
pretty much this…
whats really amazing/pathetic is that they (the sheep) can't seem to recognize their own behavior...
The flip-phones were better for talking because of the length that they opened up to without being wide and the angle that they opened to.
. I just prefer the Mac OS for how I work.

iOS and Android accomplish the same tasks in different ways. I find neither vastly superior to the other..
Isn't the G2 technically larger though?
Meanwhile, dParis, you see this quote on the bending issue? "The new phones face criticism over their bendability, dubbed "bendgate". Social media and online forums have been abuzz with comments about how the new phones can bend when placed in back pockets or while wearing skinny jeans" Yikes!!!!
Ah the smartphone war wages on.
I got the 6. Couldn't imagine getting the plus...Far too big for me, but I get why others are drawn to it. After bendgate, I'm doubly glad I didnt get the +.
I really like the 6, but it's not perfect. The bezels are still too big, imo, but the additional screen size is great. I've been wanting a bigger iPhone for a while so I was happy to see this.
There are some great Android devices out there (especially the HTC One M8 - probably the best looking smartphone on the planet), and the new iPhones are great as well. Can't we all just get along?
Cool thing is 90% of the people in here are OS agnostic it seems like.
It's funny, the 6+ size does not phase me, but the potential bending and also the fact that many are reporting lag is worth monitoring. I have a month before any of them trickle down here and I can buy mine, so Ill just see how the opinions sort out over that time.
heycal, I would take this as a sign, if I were you. i6, i5s. G2? The only wrong choice is skinny jeans!

I think that the 8.0.2 update fixes lag issues. The WiFi performance is like night and day.
A sign to get which one, the G2?
I guess with your mom jean's you could even get one of them Note things.
Oh, and anytime you want to tell me if the notification light works 100% of the time or not, I'm ready.
Aren't the regular 6's bending as well, not just the Plus's?
