Hello all, I'm a recent Volkl convert. In the past few months, I bought a PB10 Mid, the 2012 version of the C10 Pro, and the Super G 10 325. I grew up playing with Wilsons and bought the Pro Staff 97 when it came out. Not entirely satisfied with it (combined with a bit of racquetholism), I demoed some Volkls and now I'm a believer. Many of your posts from this forum persuaded me to try them out. So thank you for the words of wisdom!
Question for those who have tried the two most recent versions of the C10 Pro (the 2012 version and the new 2015 matte version): Did you notice any significant difference in the flex/stiffness between the two?
The stiffness ratings that I'm finding online vary greatly. The TW product description pages for each show a rating of 63. However, the TWU Racquet Comparison Tool shows that 2012 has a rating of 65, whereas the new one has a rating of 63 (I know, not a big difference). But a competitor's website (who shall remain nameless) shows that the 2012 version has a rating of 65, and the new version a rating of 60. The difference between 60 and 65 is nothing to sneeze at.
I know that ratings can only tell us so much, so I'd like to ask those who have tried both the 2012 version and the new matte version: Did you notice any difference in the flex/stiffness?
Thanks in advance for your replies!
