108 in Vegas but so dry I like it
Impressive. Proud of you. Was it you who you moved to LV from Portlandia?
Part of me thinks you actually like the serious heat. That is extra-ordinary, meaning apart from ordinary, meaning not normal...to be in your element in temperatures over 105.
Part of me thinks you are strong, and thinking positively. And it is working.
And part of me thinks, "he crazy". Most humans like what feels good on the body. 68 degrees Fahrenheit!
Efficiency, not having to heat, or cool the body.
When it is cold (30 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit?) you have to move, and put on some layers. Good circulation kicks in.
Happy playing tennis when it's in the fifties. Warmups are such a key to performance. Clothing, too...I peel off a layer or two.
Loving the 60s and 70s. Homeostasis without much effort.
Into the eighties, i am happiest. Joints are smooth when it is warm....or is this my imagination? I am sweating, but also drinking enough, i hoap.
Over ninety, it is a must to drink a lot of water, before, during and after. Body is happy.
Over a hundred, like 90s, but add the burning feeling on the forearms, legs, and neck. No thanks. Body not as happy.
Over 110, third set, long point, i just want to walk, not run to the ball, LOL! This is where we ought to dress like the bedouins or berbers. Just want to stay cool. No moisture wicking, please. Going outside to mow the lawn can wait.
Over 115, i have no experience, but i would think you have to live your life, avoiding the peak hours in the sun.
Wait a minute....
Are we just too soft now? How did the ancients do it? Did they have some arcane air conditioners?
What happens when it is also humid? I like humidity for the way it slows down the ball. But, this is where people have trouble with stamina, breathing, and dehydration.
For me, drinking a gallon the night before a match comes into play.
