1970,s prince graphite 2 ?

Ok.
So
I am just this morning learning that waaay back in the day late 70,s I do believe, prince made a graphite oversize called the graphite 2? Looked very close to the first one stripe prince graphite played by my girl gabby sabatini. But a complete and different animal as it’s suppose to be a down market frame as it was much more flexible and maybe even lighter than the OG POG OS.
ANYONE out there with more info specs, pics, any pertinent

I picked one up cheap the other day from the auction site. It's definitely not lighter. Mine weighs a little over 13 oz. It is very flexible though. It feels like the old classic aluminum frame with the green throat when you hit a ball. There's no grommets or head guard, and the finish is matt rather than glossy. It has two stripes rather than one but otherwise looks like a POG. I think it's a very cool racquet, and would love to find another one.

That sounds like the Graphite Comp of the day...graphite/glass, no throat bridge, individual grommets, very shallow string channel on the upper hoop(string crossovers exposed the string to scraping the court). More flexible, less money than the Prince Graphite, cheaper cover also; but not a bad stick. Matte finish either looked richer or cheaper, depending on your point of view .

I think Graphite II was from the 80s. It looks almost identical as Graphite, but slightly rounded of beam. I heard it was actually stiffer.

Graphite Comp and Powerflex were softer.

It plays like the Graphite Comp, but has a throat bridge and a square beam like a POG.

Hate to nitpick, but its called "Cross Bar Stabilizer ", "throat bridge" refers to the other one above it.

(problem: people keep referring SHAFT as "throat" nowadays... OK, I am an old timer :)

Thats's the sign of a really good player or a really bad player. Racket doesn't make much difference.
I have no memory of this

Interesting, learn something every day. slightly before my time but proof is in the pudding.

I recently learned that there are 2 different versions of the graphite ii from the 90’s. The ‘91 version that VS eluded to which was quite popular, then another one that is even wider and has widebody written on it. No pics, since I gave it away.
