That's a bomb of a 2R. My tickets for the week should cover this one, I'll definitely show up
Are you responding to someone's post? I only see your post, not the one you are quoting (if you are).
I wasn't aware anyone had said he will.If Tsonga is to have a chance, at Djokovic's favorite Slam, he's going to have to just blow Novak off the court. 5 sets would give Djoker a chance to get his teeth into the match, and Tsonga can't afford that. He needs to take Novak out of his rhythm right away and not let up, winning in 3 (or a 4th-set TB) is the only path to victory I see for him.
Djokovic's loss to RBA had shades of 2016 in it, I'm not totally sold on the theory that he's going to have another 2014-15 stretch.

Yes was quoting.. It must be a user you have on block? lol
I don't have many on my ignore list. Last poster I remember putting on ignore was tennnisaddict.
Took a set in Wimbledon 2011 and had MPs in RG 2012Tough draw for both of them, but particularly for Tsonga. He has beaten Djokovic only once (not counting Paris 2011 WO) since that win in 2010 AO, and that was 4 and a half years ago (Toronto 2014). That 6-2 6-2 win in Canada is also the only time he has taken any sets of Djokovic since 2010.
I'd like Jo to play well and take a set, but realistically this is going to be straight sets for Novak.
Tsonga the slight favourite according to TTW.
we can dream yesTsonga is hungry to get back on top(after injury) and no better way start it off then to have a win over Djokovic.
Conveniently omitted is that there's 11 years between the 2008 final and 2019.The final of 2008 is the second round of 2019. And people call this a weak era.
This is Novak and Jo's USO 2002 match while their 2008 match was their USO 1990 match (Andre and PETE's first meeting at the USO)Conveniently omitted is that there's 11 years between the 2008 final and 2019.
Analogy time:
The USO final of 2002 was Agassi and Pete. Eleven years later in 2013 had those guys shown up in a final (retired, broken down shells of their former selves) how would that disprove this "weak era" nonsense?
And he's not the slight favorite anywhere else on the planet. It's highly weird to see a nearly 50/50 split in predicting the outcome of this match. Tsonga is overweight, has played almost nothing since his knee injury and hasn't been relevant in slams for 10 years. Djokovic should destroy him, even if he's playing so-so.
It wasn't in a final so my point stands: Tsonga hasn't been relevant in slams in 10 years. He's had the occasional upset of one of the big 3, but he's not made a final in ten years. Yet you have 50% of the people in the poll choosing him? Dang...he pushed murray to 5 sets a few years ago at wimbledon.
wouldn't say your analogy is correct.Conveniently omitted is that there's 11 years between the 2008 final and 2019.

yes, but this doesn't mean he couldn't make an upset in the rounds prior to the finalIt wasn't in a final so my point stands: Tsonga hasn't been relevant in slams in 10 years. Nothing is Prime time in the U.K., nightmare tournament to follow. What a matchup for just a 2R! I hope it's scheduled in evening prime time.
Tsonga hasn't played many matches since coming back, and Djokovic is the won who's actually saved MP and won matches vs Tsonga at Slams.Formidable match upcoming, and I'll risk saying Tsonga in 4.
Tsonga is the kind of matchup that can trouble Djoko. Plus I feel that the 'mentality' moment favors the Frenchman. I See Tsonga more stable mentally.
It's the good part of staying away from competing due to injury. When you are not on roll, tourny after tourny, you have time to think about your game and the come back can be very positive. I mean it's full of examples of this happening.
The other guy that has surprised me with his comeback is Berdych. Nadal better watch out. I have seen an interview of Thomas, and never saw him so calm and focused, and this is reflecting very positively on his tennis.

You are forgivenSorry, I think I meant to say on hardcourts.
Thank you.You are forgiven
Why so many votes for JWT?
Djoko in 3 or 4. Maybe even 5, with 6-2 or 6-1 in fifth.
That’s what they do down underWhy match is starting so late?
Wishful thinking from Fedal fans. It's crazy how feared Djokovic is.
Serena/Bouchard match was before on the RLA court though that was a fast matchWhy match is starting so late?
