Have the USO organisers bothered themselves with explaining to the public what happens with the USO if a player or a staff member tests positive at the so called Cincinnati tournament? I assume that it goes forward, but have they officially confirmed that they couldn't care less, or is it going to be: "oh, you found out, well, we are working on it"?

This is a mandatory tournament so the list is mainly of players who qualify to play it doesn't mean that they have actively said they would play. Of course, both Nadal and Djokovic are exempt from any penalties for not playing mandatory tournaments now

No line judges? No ball kids.
Proper social distancing, face masks etcetera for all involved.

If they all are intend to play the French Open after the USO, they all should lose in early rounds. Otherwise it won't be possible for them to play as all who travel from the US will probably have to go into the 14 day quarantine in the EU.

It's still TBD if he'll play the French, and he has almost 2 months before he has to make a decision, and for the most part, Europe has a handle on it. Right now, though, the US numbers are all over the place. Some states are trending up, some down. And some that were trending down a few weeks ago, are now trending up again. So who knows where NYC will be by September? Especially if schools & universities choose to open 'in person'?

Rafa has been very good at managing his body to this point. Yes, he's had some injuries, but he's shut himself down when he feels they will affect his output, and he's always bounced back. I highly doubt he'll risk his extremely limited future if he feels there's a risk involved, whether it's the virus or some other ailment.
