Just like I thought. Overrated clown who will never win a slam. Surprised he gets hyped up so much on this forum.
Why do you guys do this so often? He is 21 years old, has made it to his first semi-final, he is having a great career. He is NOT a clown! He's a decent player who might get better in time, or maybe not. The anger about his loss is just so strange - Medvedev is the better player! He is one of the 3-5 players who when they are at their best are better than the rest of the field right now. It's no disgrace on FAA's part.

I don't call this skinny.

Ok, let’s call it “very low body fat” then. Which could come almost entirely from diet. And he is very muscular, which comes from strength training. What’s his cardio regimen?

I agree here. I think FAA is still to young to write off. Plus he has a nice timing with his career. He will be 26 when Big 2 are gone and Meddy and friends are in trauma centers for having their prime destroyed. By then FAA will be ready to go!

I hope too that I'm wrong, but it doesn't look like it. This version of Med won't win a set vs Novak.
I believe you are way off. If he even faces Djokovic which may not even happen - I think Zverev will be his opponent, have predicted it for the past 15 days. We may or not find out who is right about this on Sunday. This version of Medvedev just came from 5-2 and roared back to 7-5 and then won the next set 6-2! That shows mental toughness, athleticism, and that he can win. I am so sick of the "Djokovic walks on water" talk on here. He has a 3-5 record in USO finals. He could lose!

Is this a TRICK question? Obviously Zverev.
With Novak - he has literally a zero chance to win the match.
Against Zed, Med has a better than 50% chance.
Not zero but certainly more against Zverev no one can argue that maybe an argument could be Zverev beating Djokovic in best of 5 will just elevate his confidence to another level but djokovic is djokovic

I do coach kids mainly the fundamentals and I always say never look up too Federer. You can respect him but never look up too him.
Look up to Djokovic, because they are never going to have Fed’s talent(either Djokovic’s) but if you follow Djokovic’s work rate in the last 10 years you will maximise your talent.
Will it make youngsters a player like Djokovic ? No but it could be the difference between top 400 and top 100. One makes a living the other doesn’t
I dont think even top 5 players can look up to him, as tsitsipas said, he looks up to thiem, because no one can play like roger, and i would even adventure to say, that if you gave me to choose, id choose determination, as you said, max out your potential, how many so talented kids wont make it because they dont have the determination to train hard day after day, year after year

Medvedev has played almost all his matches at day time even this semi was almost similar time to the final so here he could have an advantage if faces Djokovic as he has just played 1 match in day

Medvedev is going to win even if Djokovic is the other finalist. But Zverev will be the other finalist. We will find out who is right about this on Sunday.

Djokovic has a 3-5 record in USO finals. He can lose tonight or on Sunday. He's not invincible!

Unless I am cash strapped and I am Tio Toni, I am firing myself before my brand is ruined by Felix. That was a pathetic lack of effort once Meddle broke back for 4-5 second set.

That's what I meant when I asked my question above, about what you think is going through Uncle Toni's mind now.

I would think he would be thinking that Medvedev was the favorite to win, that it was amazing that Felix made it to the semis, and that there is room for improvement to his game going forward.

Commentary after FAA's semifinal match: "This was about maturity. He's only 20 and he was playing in his first slam semifinal. He has a lot to be proud of."

The commentary was so different after the semifinals of Fernandez and Raducanu.

I still think FAA will win a major, likely on a hardcourt. Now's not his time.

He was clearly crushed mentally after loosing that 2nd set that he should have won up 5-2.

I’ve been in the Felix corner since he was age 14. It was a great cause to believe in for the first five years but his series of collapses at money time in tournaments since making his first ATP final is now beyond the occasional speed bump along the road to championship tennis. Today was the ultimate proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back. That was such a bad breach of contract with fans to just give up from 5-2 second set to 6-2 third set, GSM. He should refund everyone’s ticket price for that pathetic lack of effort.

Will always root for Felix’s opponent in every match after today. So unprofessional.

Well.. Djoker has access to expensive voodoo doctors, a team of nutrtionists, love gurus, serbian caves, cryogenic eggs, (And god knows what else). So unless your kids have a trust fund.... LOL

"It's upsetting obviously that he's better than me. I have to accept that he's better than me. I might never beat him, but if I think that way, just need to wait, years maybe, for that chance to come"

"He has the whole package to play big. I'm sure if he ever gets the difficult chance to play Nadal, Djokovic, or Federer, he's going to beat them, for sure. I will not be surprised if he gets wins over those guys."

"It is very difficult, because he has one of the best returns on the tour. He has a really powerful, accurate serve, which is tough to read. He's really quick and fast, which is rare to find all of those together, combined. Big forehand, big backhand. He can create a lot of opportunities from his backhand, but also, at the same time, he can be very aggressive from the forehand side,” Tsitsipas said. “There's not much to come up with when you play against him. He's pretty much solid from everywhere.”

Remind us what are Zverev and Medvedev''s combined record in USO finals. Thanks.
As usual you have missed my point! Djokovic is not invincible. It is possible that he will lose tonight or on Sunday. Medvedev and Zverev are playing at their best of their careers right now.

Well.....what looked like might have been an interesting match, unraveled like a......well, you know the cliche. Not surprised that Mr. Medvedev is in the final.....seemed inevitable from the day the draw was announced, and he is playing well.

Felix Augur Aliassime had a nice run, but a tough way to go out.....school of hard knocks still in session.

Exactly. Listen I’m not saying don’t love Federer or that Fed doesn’t work that hard I’m just saying Djokovic works day in day our meal to meal to max his potential. Even if you are as talented as Fed it still will benefit.
But you hit the nail on the head most can’t do that work every min every day and it’s why the best are the best.
The hardest part is between 14/15-18 when most of your friends go drinking and partying but you have to not and just train. Tennis is a lonely sport too and also most top players are either a bit mad or just insanely competitive.

I know your point very well.

Answer my question, what is their slam final record at USO combined....you keep telling us Novak has lost many, but he has also won some....how many have they won combined in the finals they played....heck, how many slams have they won anywhere?

Have you seen me say that Novak is a lock for this title? Of course not, but I think you are slightly going off balance here in your hopes that Novak loses and does not leave Rafa behind.

So Zverev and Medvedev are both tied with young Djokovic at 0-1. Lame, small sample size bullsheet stat, Hitman. You’re better than this crapola, “My peepee is bigger than your peepee.” game.

Yeah you almost need to be mad and have very good people around you to go trough those years, but most importantly, believing in yourself, especially if you are not the best at your age, not a lot of people can do that
