That's why I don't like grass. You can win a great point only for your opponent to servebot in the next few points and turn your hard work into nothing. If you lose a big point on clay, it is much harder to recover from it.

Not at all. Just saying Nadal is NOT likely to beat Novak while the Spaniard is playing like this.
Also Novak in general is more likely to make the wimbledon Final than Nadal is. Generally Novak is more consistent on grass.
Just stating facts here..

Overall a very sub-par performance for Rafa to lose a set vs a mug like Bernankis.
And Bernankis choked in set 1 and set 2 at 4-5, so the match could have been closer.
Still, Nadal finished well once the roof was closed. He needs to improve a lot to be a contender here though.

I think Nadal needs to change tactics here. He seems to be still in the clay mode.
Even a recreational, non-pro player like me can easily see Nadal is LATE on his forehand a lot in his first 2 matches.
He needs to step in and flatten his forehand out. He is trying to step back and get more spin, hoping for more bounce etc etc.
This is not working on grass. Mostly he is catching the ball late and thereby missing. His DTL is mostly misdirected because of that. A lot of the forehands are taken with his body weight on the back leg.
Perhaps he needs to also change the tension on his racquet. Let's see if he can adjust more to the conditions.
